Haribo Fraise Tagada 120 Gram Candy Bag from France

I had these for the first time in France this summer and they are simply delicious with a wonderful mouthfeel I haven't found elsewhere. They are expensive to get here because they have to be imported but oh so worth it. Mmmmmmm

These are candies made in France. We first tasted them at the Culinary Institute of America. A friend who is from France and runs a French Bistro near us said these are his favorite candies. I was surprised to find them at Amazon (why should I be?). Got some for him and his wife for Christmas-they were just delighted! They have a soft, sort-of marshmallow-like center that is sweet, then the coating is pink sugar but it's very tart.

I think this is my fault. I thought I remembered loving this candy but it's different from how I remember.The candies are hard on the outside, not softer as I recall.Are they stale?Also the strawberry is not so distinctly strawberry...more like red candy flavor.I am still a lifetime fan of the original haribo green gummy bear, a true strawberry gummy!

These are the candies I remember enjoying back in high school foreign language club. They're sugar coated strawberry chews. Like a cross between marshmallow and gummy. Good flavor but the batch I got was a little stale.

My niece went to France 2 weeks for school, and brought back a bag of these straight from France. I tried one. Immediately hopped on Amazon to try to find them. Great success!!! I ordered 2 bags. Already super popular in my household. I'm munching these as I write this. Not too sweet. Love the texture. Love them. So frigging good.

Flavor is alright, but its one of those grainy kind of sugary snacks that you can only eat like 1-2 of at a time. Not a very good candy.

Between Primavera and Tagada, Primavera are bigger, better tasting and addictive! I could eat the whole bag if I'm not careful!
