Hilarious, Fast-Paced, and Perfect for Young Readers
My little one burned through all 32 chapters (176 pages!) of this color edition in just two days — and as a mom who loves books, that alone makes my heart so happy. Anything that pulls a child into reading instead of screen time is a win, and Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People delivers nonstop fun. Dav Pilkey’s humor, wild creativity, and bright illustrations keep kids fully engaged from start to finish. This edition looks fantastic, and the story is just as silly and entertaining as ever. A fantastic choice for young readers who love fast, funny adventures.

love it
Adding to my Captain Underpants collection because one of the kids I babysit can't get enough of them so I keep buying more. We love Captain Underpants around here. It draws in even the more reluctant reader.

Hilarious!
My kids love this book and keep asking for the rest of the set. It is hilarious, silly, creative, warm and sweet! A lot of parents told me about how popular these books are. I thought only young kids love this style (in terms of story and illustration) because....kids are kids. But after I read one out of curiosity, I was attracted to it, too. I think everyone can read it, from 6 to 106:)

Grandson loves to read these
Eight year old grandson loved these books and he read and reread them all. They have a cartoon format. It helped him appreciate reading He’s 9 now and moved on to more difficult books but will still pull these out for a quick read.

Even though is says hardcover, the pages inside are paperback :(
The story is fantastic, as are all the captain underpants books! I'm writing this because I was disappointed that this book has paperback pages in a hardcover shell. I bought four captain underpants books, all in hardcover, thinking they would all be the same. This one is not the same as the others, it is smaller in size, and while the outside is hard cover, the pages inside are that of a paperback book. All the other hard cover versions had the glossy paper inside. Just a warning for anyone looking to purchase this for the better pages. My son already owns the whole collection in paper back, and I was purchasing this so he would have nicer copies.
