DEWALT Titanium Nitride Drill Bit Set, 21-Piece (DW1342)

I was finding it difficult to find a HSS bit set with 13mm bit included within the box. This was made by a good brand and came with all the required bits. One of the regularly used bits damaged due to misuse and considerably expensive to replace. The case is very good and practical. See through case make it easy to use and good to look. One problem is that the measurements are in imperial means they are not the best for UK users. Apart from that overall happy with the product so far

This is the best drill set i have ever owned , clean precise . One thing i found though is when using these drills use the reverse when it has reached whatever depth you want as then tend to give a little kick , if like others drill bits you just use the same method . Great product

As other reveiws have stated, this is not marketing hype in any way. These bits are rock solid, and they do exactly as they are advertised to be able to do; which is keep going and going... I was skeptical at first, I got these for 40$ CAD.. I looked it up on Canadian Tires website, they normally retail for 70$ something.... I was concerned, are these genuine DeWalt? But I neede something right then and the price was right.. I have been doing metalworking in one way or another my entire adult life, I can tell you that these bits are on par with stuff we used to get from the industrial supplier back in the day. Top quality! If your worried, don't be; I put these bits through absolute hell and back... like, they would have nightmares each night about what they would be subjected to each work day! I'm telling you, I blasted through hole after hole in the nastiest materials.. cast iron, medium carbon steel, stainless sheet metal.... half the time I wasn't even using cutting oil (Dont be a dum dum like me, use cutting fluid of some sort, even just WD-40 sprayed on if youve got nothing else it helps alot) I blasted through half inch plate on a regular basis... Now I did step drill bigger holes(1/2" bit), by starting with a pilot hole and then working up to the larger bit sizes...this helps more with hole accuracy, I wan't worried about the longevity of the bits , a lot of the time I didn't bother with doing a step-drill procedure, and just hogged into whatever I was needing a hole in.. Did a pile of fabrication with these this summer, and a few of them I did end up sharpening.. Probably had I been using cutting fluid all the time, and not abusing them, they wouldn't have needed a sharpen. all of the smaller ones like under 1/4" down, they were never sharpened and they are still going strong... If you go to sharpen the bigger bits, what I did was use a 400 grit silicon carbide belt on a belt grinder and made sure to have a small bucket of water to dip into repeatedly to keep it cool. Just use one of the other bits in the set to copy the angle your supposed to sharpen at. It's not that hard, in fact I haven't sharpened a drill bit since I was in a machine shop years ago. Got my bigger bits tuned up after some solid abuse, and they were back to factory sharp What can I say? These are awesome, totally worth buying; if you had to pay full price they would still be a worthwhile investment based on there performance. If your a home DIY weekend warrior, these will probably last you a lifetime.. if you doing hard-core metal work daily, they can handle that too.. Good luck with your metalworking projects!!
