It is about 1/4 inch thick or a bit more. It is relatively soft feeling. Not scratchy on your feet. Nice quality. Mine is not in a high traffic area yet. Plan on moving it to Tv room soon. Really happy with this purchase.

Can this rug be used outdoor on a covered patio?

Hi Draya,It's very thick much more so than it appeared in the pics. So as long as it won't get wet it would be fine. I wouldn't though, I would buy a thinner rug for a patio. Hope that helps!
