Quiet enough, plenty of heat.
Not too loud, strong heat, the dials are easy to use. Fan cuts off with thermostat which is nice. High power setting is hot but not dangerous. Seems sturdy but if it's touched when running you will hear the fan scraping.

Good Dr. Heater for you greenhouse.
The Greenhouse heater was not what I expected, but was just what I needed for my greenhouse. My greenhouse is 6x8 feet. It is not a typical heater, in that it blows warm air and not hot air. I think that hot air would toast my plants in the greenhouse. We had 22 degree temps last week. I set the thermostat just like the instructions stated. The low thermostat was set when the temps outside were about 45 degrees and I watched the temp maintained between 42 and 48 degrees maintained during the freeze here in Houston. I have a remote temp sensor that I can see in the house. I know....I know, for some of you that is not very cold. Sorry.... I am using an extension cord for power and I read the warnings, but what else am I going to do? Since, as sated above, the heated blows warm air instead of hot air, then the power requirements should be less. The heater is using less power to produce warm air and not hot air. An extension cord may not be the best option, but is shouldn't be a dangerous option. Just be sure that you use a good quality cord and maybe a cord with 12 gage wire instead of 14 gage. I bought my greenhouse to keep stored plants (plumeria) from freezing in the winter rather that growing plants. I have a big lack of storage place for my plants elsewhere. Anyway...I am very happy. Hope my review was a help.

Works Great ...But Thermostat
This is a nice little heater. I bought it for a very small space backyard greenhouse. I live on the western side of central Colorado. Not in the mountains but l can reach single digits sometimes in winter. I needed a 240 electric plug, which was the decisive factor in my purchase. Plus the infrared heat is so much better than heat coils. I've had it for a month and it keeps my 8X10 space heated consistently to mid-40s. The only problem is the thermostat. It just has a dial from low to high and a 3-speed fan. It does have an auto cutoff. I really wish that it had a more fine-tuned temperature adjustment. I would prefer to be able to regulate the temperature from 32 to 75 Degrees. Digital with Bluetooth control would be ideal, because no one wants to go outside at night to adjust it.

Heavy Duty
More expensive than a lot of the cheapo ones you see on Amazon, but it's very heavy duty (which is what I was looking for). I'm using it to keep my dormant potted figs from getting too cold in my garage on the coldest nights of winter. This is primarily an infrared heater (just like the name suggests), which means it heats objects directly with radiant, infrared heat more so than heats the air. A good way to think of this concept is like stepping into the sunlight in summer, and you feel the sun's radiant heat on your skin. However, it does also have a fan to provide some heating of the air as well. I wouldn't expect it to warm up a large space significantly, but for something in this standard voltage/wattage range, it's about the best you're going to do.

Watts up Doc? Good for workshop and greenhouse. UPDATE! BURNT UP twice.
HEATER STARTED ON FIRE! This is an update!!! Important. I had the first heater for about three months, came into my shop and smelled burnt electronics and plastic. Heater didn't work. I opened the top, sure enough the wiring from the thermostat was completely burnt. I contacted Dr. Heaters and they actually sent me a new one for free. Good response and good service. Now one year later, the new one completely burnt out. I happened to be in the room this time. I saw the sparking through the top cracks, lots of smoke and then it stopped. Immediately I unpluged it.and when it stopped smoking and cooled down., I took the top off again. Te entire insides are burnt, but it was obvious that the wiring failed from the thermostat. When I first had the problem, I mentioned to the company that the wirie gage looked too small for the 220 volt 20 amp service. They said it was all to specs. Which might be the case, but I've wired enough electrical systems in my life to know better. I even compared the wire with my older heater. The good news is that the wiring is contained within the top of the all metal box, so the fire is contained. I checked my circuit breaker and it was fine. So there is obviously a problem with this heater. You will notice other reviewers having a similar problem. I'd give this 3.5 stars. It does work. It has a nice compact feel and seems well built. IIt is easy to move around, but I mounted it a few feet off the ground. I'm using it in my woodworking/garage area. I wanted something with a sealed fan motor and would be easy to use compressed air to blow off the heating elements. It seems good for that. The heat settings have a low and high. But I can't tell any difference in the heat output. I even used my laser digital scale temperature detector. The fan speed as one setting. The thermostat setting works as it should and appears good. The heat is distributed by the fan. HOWEVER, this is where I feel the product could be improved. The heat seems to be pushed around but does not go very far out from the heater. I would say only about 8 feet at the most. So the heater seems to create an aura of heat but not a direct convection. It has been working, and perhaps for a greenhouse that is the type of heat you need. I've only had it for about a month of usage, but its already been below Zero Farenheit and in the low single digits for a few weeks here in N. Dakota. The heater has been able to keep my shop above freezing at 40 degrees F. in my insulated 20 x 25 foot shop. It also can produce enough heat rise, that a light fan in the garage distributes the heat around nicely. I turn it up to a higher setting when I'm in the room for any length of time. The unit does make a fan noise, which is tolerable, but again, I make a lot more noise in my using my workshop equipment. Remember this is the 3000 watt unit and requires a 220-240 volt dedicated electrical current. I liked that wattage because a 2000 watt unit isn't able to produce enough heat and 4000 watt required a larger gage wiring connection. Overall, if it continues to perform at his level. I am satified. The price was good. Shipping was fast and I feel safer with being able to keep the coils cleaned from debris and moisture.

I was looking for a heater I can leave on 24/7 for long periods, this is the heater very heavy duty fan. It doesn't feel it puts out a lot of heat but leave it in a enclosed room it reached the desired temp

these are infrared heaters, small but mighty, great for greenhouse or conservatory, except you can use these anywhere and inside your house with a Adapter and a surge cut out switch for extra safety. LENCENT 2X World to Australia Travel Adapter, Visitor from USA/Europe/United Kingdom to 3 Pin AU Adapter Plug [USA to AU Adapter, UK to AU Adapter] these have a thermostat built in and cut out when your room meets your set temp. {set on external temp gauge.}. They are a bit noisy except they only run to maintain your infrared level in your home. less than 30 mins at a time so you do not notice the noise very often. so good for my plants that I brought 3. they will heat room to 40 degrees c. Plants are just 21 degrees so plenty of power for snowy conditions.

This was the second unit I bought, the first by a different company, which I returned. This one seems to work perfectly. Ive had it running in my little greenhouse for a month and it works perfectly. Even the set up and thermostat is intuitve and obvious
