Awesome first electric bike!
My son bought this for my grandson for his 6th birthday and he's been writing it since the day he got it and has loved it and it's 11 months later and he just needs to move up to a bigger one that has suspension. Don't hesitate to buy one they are fun problem free and work, every time. Will likely give this to his 4 y.o. sister!

Great starter bike!
We bought this motorcycle 6 years ago, and my kids still ride it, the battery is still good and charges right up! It looks great, and has stayed in great condition! Bought it for my son when he was 5 and he still rides it sometimes he's 11

Even older kids enjoy this bike.
Bought for 10 year old son, he rides it nearly every day. Speed is great, easy to enjoy and keep control while driving. Maneuverability is four-stars, tight turns at higher speeds tends to cause wipe-outs. Mostly though, it's amazing. Expensive, yet cool.

Great starter dirtbike for a small kid.
I purchased four of these at the same time. I have three six year olds and an eight year old. The assembly was pretty quick and easy. Most of the bike is together right out of the box but it took about 30 minutes to get the rest together. The bikes go pretty fast to be electric. The claim to go about 14mph and I'd say thats about right. I have a golf cart and I couldn't keep up with the bikes with it. There pretty sturdy as well. I've only had the bikes for a few weeks and they've been dropped and crashed numerous times and they keep on going. I did have one of the bikes that didn't work and Amazon was great at getting it shipped back to them and refunded (although the refund took about two weeks). The bikes will hold even the bigger boys with little problem, but don't expect to get the same top end speed and run time as with the lighter kids. I even rode it a couple of times and I weigh 188lbs (but its not really supposed to have more than 140lbs person on it...lol) It takes about 5 hours to charge (depending on the current charge of the battery). You can expect to get about 45 minutes from a single charge. My eight year old gets several minutes less than one of my lighter six year olds. In summary, I am satisfied with the item. It is exactly as the company describes. You really can't beat it for the price. My kids have great fun on them and I didn't have to fork over $800-$1000 for a gas powered dirt bike. I hope this helps someone in deciding on this purchase.

Nothing To Not Like
My neighbor's 6 year old son has one of these, so of course my 6 year old son had to keep us with the Joneses. I did a brief internet search trying to find a place close to where I live that sells them, and of course, the best bargain! I was kind of surprised to see Amazon's name pop-up on the search. I thought, well, they pay to advertise on Google, so their name probably pops up on every search like mine. Then I thought, hey, if Amazon really has this, I know they offer free shipping on items over $25. Then I also thought, surely they have limitations on that "free shipping" offer. Well, if they do have their limitations on free shipping - this isn't one of them. I thought WOW!, I'm spending basically what it sells for at Wal-Mart or Toys-R-Us and I'm having it brought right to my door to boot! Now that is awesome. It gets better. I had the bike together and I new everything was good-to-go, I thought this is something I have to share with anyone on Amazon who's thinking about buying one! When I brought this item up again, it shows the price dropped $18! At first I was shocked! Wow, Amazon's selling these for even cheaper yet and still offering free shipping! Man, every kid on my street's gonna be getting one of these now! Then I thought, HEY, WAIT A MINUTE! That's not fair! I paid too much for this bike! Well, to make an already too long of story a little shorter (especially since I haven't even talked about the bike, yet), I asked Amazon for the $18 refund toward this bike and they gave it to me! They credited my credit card within about 8 hours! On a Saturday! As a parent, I'm very happy about the price. I'm also very happy how happy it's made my son. You can see it in his eyes. Priceless. This bike arrived (I again state - FREE) within a week. It's packed in a styrofoam form that is in 2 halves encompassing the bike, so there's just about no way this bike is gonna get damaged in transit. Wrapped around that styrofoam form-fitting coffin is a heavy cardboard wrap and two plastic banding straps that makes it easy to carry. (For you and the UPS driver.) After opening everything up and getting the bike out onto the ground, you almost have to have someone balance it for you or lean it up against something in such a way while you slip the from wheel assembly on. All the assembly hardware comes ON the bike instead of in a bag to fiddle around with and find. The manufacturer was smart to do this. You know there will be no missing parts not put in the parts bag, because there's no parts bag. Just loosen the hardware and hold the front fork and slide the long bolt through and fasten it again. There's only one way you can put the fork on. Idiot (daddy) proof! Makes daddy look like he knows what he's doing without having to resort to instructions! After the front wheel assembly is on, you take the handle bar out of the box. Again, the bike has the hardware already in place where the handle bar goes. Take out the 4 bolts and the 4 1/2 bracket pieces and position the handle bar into place and re-insert the hardware. The handle bar has these grooves or ridges to position right where the brackets are. They help with centering and they also help with really being able to tighten down the hardware snug enough to where the handle bar won't move, but first have your child can hop on so you can make the final adjustments before torquing the bolts down. All the tools you need to assemble, maintain and adjust this bike are included. They're the cheap/disposable/one-time-use kind, but they are supplied. Next, you put the front fender on with one screw. You can only put that on one way, too. The right way. Then you pull the front number sign up into position and screw it into place. Done. The instructions say the bike was shipped charged but to charge it for at least 8 hours before using. I turned on the bike just out of curiosity. Green light. It was charged. But I plugged it in anyways. I was glad my son even suggested it. Even though he's 6, he's on the ball. That and he knows how the thing works because of the neighbor boy's. How you go about charging it may be the nicest feature. We have a Barbie Jeep and some other battery-powered 4-wheeler. When you go to plug those in, you have quite a chore. On the Jeep you have to open the hood, unplug the battery (which is hard with weak hands due to arthritis), then plug that into the charger plug. On the 4-wheeler, you have to remove the seat go gain access. On this dirtbike near where your right knee is when sitting on it there's a plug-in outlet with a dustcover cap on it. Right above that plug is the on-off switch. The charger is one of these newer kinds. The cord comes out of the wall about 4 feet to a rectangular box, then another 4 feet of cord to a plug. The plug end that goes in the bike can only go in one way. It has a threaded ring to screw on to outlet to make sure it makes full contact while charging. When it's done charging, unscrew the ring and pull the plug out. Push the cap/cover on, turn the bike on and fold down the footpegs and your ready to go! Right hand throttle has 2 positions (I think I noticed before he took off) slow and fast. Hand brake on the left hand side of the handle bar. This thing moves! Tires were aired up to where they were suppose to be. This bike is built nice. Comes with kickstand. Red and green light near the right thumb shows battery levels. I need to look into whether this has the Lithium Ion type of battery or not. Those are the ones you can charge anytime you want. The old ones (Ni-Cad) you were supposed to let discharge completely before recharging so they didn't hold a memory. My son likes to come in for lunch/supper and plug it in for that 1/2 hour or so. I'm not sure that's doing anything (good or bad) or not. Also, one thing I did have to check the instructions for is, whether the on/off switch needed to be on or off while charging. Instructions says it doesn't matter. Get one. You won't have a thing to be sorry for!

Perfect for our eight-year-old
This is a great little bike for our eight-year-old. We were looking for something that could be used in a neighborhood, so it couldn’t be too loud, and I didn’t want him to be able to go too fast. We clocked this at a maximum of 13 mph and it’s pretty quiet. He’s been using it since he got it for his birthday in October, so about six months now, and it’s still going strong. It typically needs to charge overnight, but then he can get 3 to 4 hours of solid use out of it which usually lasts him all day. All in all, this was a great purchase.

Awesome, Great for kids
Awesome, Great for kids. I bought this for my 5 year old last year and he still uses it almost everyday. He is six now and it's still a perfect fit. He learned how to ride this before he learned how to ride a bike. Pros: It's fun! My 5 year old loves it. His friends and cousins love it. Adults love it too. It's a good size for 5-7. Older kids, adults can ride it too though. My 14 year old and her friends use it all the time. It's quiet. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood. He rides it around our neighborhood and It doesn't disturb anyone. It's fast. My 14 year old used a couple of times when she was late to school. There's a learning curve, but it wasn't that long. My son had some falls, a few hard ones while learning how to turn and stop. Without ever learning how to ride a bike, it took him two days to balance on this. It took him a few weeks before he was able to perfect the turns and stopping distance without falling. Good quality parts. My kid has run it through mud, small hills, thick grass, wet grass, tall weeds and it has never failed. Set up was easy. It comes mostly completed. All I had to do was install the handlebars and mudguard. It took less than 15 min. Cons: It's fast. Using my bike, I can keep up with my son but I'm pedaling hard. It definitely takes a responsible kid to use this. I never let my younger kid use it unless I'm supervising. As advertised, it's battery powered. My battery initially lasted about an hour. After 9 months of almost daily use, it lasts about 40 min. With that said, I wish we could take is camping but we don't because we would not be able to use it more than 40 min. Recommendation: Buy it!

Great first powered bike
I bought this for my 6 year old son as a starter bike and so far I am very happy with it after the first few uses this spring since the snow has melted. He is about 4 feet tall and 55 pounds. It fits him perfectly as he can just put his feet flat while sitting on it. It is plenty fast for him but I think after one season he will grow out of it and need something bigger/faster. We will likely move on to something gas powered next which was the plan all along so this was perfect especially for this price point. The best thing I like is that it is so quiet you can ride it anywhere without people complaining. Taking it to ride around the cottage or campground will be perfect. My 10 year old daughter who is 4.5 feet tall and 60 pounds also rode it has had a blast. Only a few things to watch out for: 1. Keep in mind it has no suspension so the ride can be rough and is best used on smooth surfaces. 2. The wheels/tires are very small and make it a little unstable at first but fine once you get the hang of it. 3. There is no speed control. It's either 100% throttle or 0%. Amazon shipping was fast!
