Hollywood Music Curved Soprano Sax adapter for saxophone stand
Well, It sure beats laying it on the floor! It actually works beautifully for my Chateau CSS-90L Soprano sax. That little horn sounds so sweet - it's precious to me! I don't want it to be compromised, while I'm on stage, or in a session. This little stand is the answer to the question: "What do I do with it, when I'm not using it?" Answer: I put it in the stand! Case closed.Robert E. Schuenemann

My Yani curved sits very nicely on this peg
My Yani curved sits very nicely on this peg, and the peg does have two mounting holes, one larger, so it works on my Hercules alto stand. But, if I have the sop peg at the same angle as the alto, and I take the alto off the stand when there are no other horns on the stand, the weight of the sop will make it lean backwards. I solved this by mounting the sop peg at the same direction as the leg of the stand, and now it won't tip backwards if the sop is the only horn on the stand. Otherwise it's great and there is just enough room for a flute or clarinet on the peg used to mount the sop peg.

Not Perfect but able to make it work
I have an old alto/tenor/clarinet/flute combo stand form the 70's. I was able to use this stand in any of the existing holes but I had to turn the stand 180 degrees (facing away from me) to balance properly - otherwise it would fall over when placing the sax on it. Also, the lower support (U-shape) is longer on one side than the other, so I have to rotate the sax slightly to keep the lower support from butting against the low B pad. My pads are on the right side of the sax (Rampone & Cazzani Curved Soprano from SaxForte). Since the soprano is relatively light compared to an alto/tenor, I feel I can manuevere it onto the stand following the above steps quickly when necessary. The sax does feels very secure when placed on the stand.

Great Value Despite Minor Design Flaw
Excellent value, holds my 1920s curved Martin and fits right under the clarinet/flute/straight soprano peg of any of my sax stands. It's a tight fit, though, to get a clarinet or flute on the peg. Very difficult to squeeze a straight soprano behind the curved without hitting bells. I would make the flat bar another two inches longer to position the curved soprano away from the other instrument. Clever, clever design, though. My mouthpiece cap off to the inventor.

Sturdy and supportive; better when modified.
This is the only one of its kind I've seen, and it is sturdy and fits the horn well. I modified it by drilling an attachment hole closer to the curve in the base and also by bending the main vertical piece so that horn rests further back. I did these two things to improve the center of gravity so that horn would be less likely to tip the stand over frontwards.

It's a great peg, but....
be very careful what you mount it on. I put it on a Hercules alto/tenor stand and thought everything was great while the tenor was on the stand. But when I picked up the tenor, the weight of the soprano tipped the stand right over! I'm mounting it on a wide/solid wood base. Not as easily portable but much more stable! I really wish they offered it on a base of it's own.

Great solution for curved soprano
Amazing attachment if you have a curved soprano. Can fit my Alto, Soprano, and a Clarinet (or if you have a flute) on my stand now. I would just add to make sure the weight of the soprano is distributed on the leg (otherwise it will tip over if you remove the Alto and leave the soprano on the stand)See pic where soprano is by itself for reference. 100% happy with purchase

It fits my Yani SC-991 like a glove
It fits my Yani SC-991 like a glove. Perfect fit! It is also very stable, don't understand the tipping problem in some reviews as I don't have that problem at all, like I said very stable. The stand is very well made and comes with two different sized mounting holes. It's a much better deal than some of the exceedingly expensive stands I've seen. A great product.Update: You need to position the stand so that it is parallel with the leg that it is being mounted to. You will find that it is very stable that way. Do not position it the way that is shown in the picture of the stand. Rotate it 90 degrees from the way it is shown in the picture with the stand facing outwards and parallel to the leg it is mounted on.
