Highgrove: An English Country Garden

What a truly beautiful book! I have been to Highgrove and this book really does it justice. A quick perusal through this tome is like a mini vacation!

Beautiful book with extensive photos and descriptions of the garden in different season. Especially valuable since no photography is allowed when you tour Highgrove in England. A list of every plant is included in the back . HRH Prince Charles is devoted to ecological methods and sharing the gardening discoveries.

Reading this book and looking at all the great photos is really relaxing as you follow the garden through the year!

A present to myself and a coffee table book. Every aspect of the garden is presented so well. Every plant is identified and listed and the garden is shown in all the seasons of the year. I love the meadow. I want to plant one. Now to create something like this in Texas with climate change in mind. There will be different plants due to much less rainfall but this book gives lots of ideas for planning and creating lots of lovely peaceful spaces.

I have not done a complete read through of the book but I love the short comments by HRH Prince Charles (Of course I love and admire him...we share the same birth year and birth month!). The pictures are amazing! I especially love the pullout of the meadow...I am an avid gardener too and have a stumpery in my garden but not as grand as his. I look forward to reading this from cover to cover...All in all this is a KEEPER!

Just received this wonderful book about Highgrove - it is worth every penny. So well written, with monthly notes by Prince Charles, very informative text by author Bunny Guinness and astounding photographs through all the seasons. You will get so much information and ideas from this book. This garden was already on my "to visit" list, and is very definitely high on that list now. Would recommend this book to any garden enthusiast.

Lovely and beautifully written. The photos are stunning and the quality is superb. I do not think this will disappoint any Gardner, but will inspire instead. The info on organically taking care of such a vast estate is amazing. I'm happy to see the true soul and spirit of HRH in his love of gardening. It's wonderful to see his passion of keeping everything natural without chemicals, and nasty unfriendly composites to our environment.

Beautiful photos and commentary. Inspiring!

Książka jest piękna ale amazon ostatnio fatalnie pakuje przesyłki. Albym był zapakowany z zwykłą koperte do wysyłki dokumentów, w efekcie rogi ma poniszczone.

Absolutely loved how it was outlined by Seasons. Each Season is beautifully written to describe the flowers, plantlife and the photography to showcase it all is beyond beautiful. The quality is next level, paper, photography, organic gardening ideas and of course creating a garden for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
