Ortho 0438580 Grass B Gon Garden Grass Killer Ready-to-Use Spray, 24-Ounce (2)

Had a bunch of Zoyzia coming up in my Winter Jasmine-covered bank. After trying a myriad of other methods (hand pulling, spot cardboard covering, etc.), I tried this product while fearing I’d potentially kill the Jasmine. It worked perfectly with absolutely no damage to Jamine. I had to be patient…it started working in about 10 days and finished off the grass a couple of months later. I did spot treat a few stragglers and the bed is now grass free.

I like this grass killer very much as it kills the grass that insists on growing among the plants that I do want. It kills the grass but doesn’t harm my flowering plants.

Good news first - it did not damage my Myoporum parvifolium ground cover that had grass growing in it.Bad news - it didn't kill the grass, just turned it a reddish color.This is after multiple sprayings over several weeks.Bummer.UPDATE... It does work, but it's really slow. Spray multiple times and have lots of patience.

I have a problem — grass. Lots of other people have the same issue. Had surgery, so had to let things grow for a while, then spent hours ripping out s tiny patch of grass.My sister introduced me to Grass Be Gone. She had a mostly empty container she brought over, and she squirted a bit on my worse spots. Later that day, it rained heavily — based on what she told he, I was pretty sure it was all for naught, since the rain had probably washed ever The next morning, the grass was wet from the sprinklers, so I decided to try pulling a little grass.I was beyond floored when even large (fist sized) clumps came out quite easily with just my hand. Other spots hadn’t been sprayed, and even though they were smaller, there was no way I could get them out. So even a little spritz folowed by a gullywasher was enough to seriously weaken the roots.Definitely recommend. Good product.

Does not work at all. I sprayed the grass growing in a bed of Kinnikinnick ground cover twice over two weeks with zero results.

Grass B Gon seems to work as described, but it also does damage certain types of shrubbery. So this product should be used with caution per instructions. Also, I have El Toro grass in my yard (an aggressive & hearty species of Zoysia) & it does require 2 to 3 applications of this product to really eliminate those 'stray crawlers' & out-sproutings. This product is not cheap & therefore can begin to get costly with these multiple applications.

The product works well and only kills grass. The shipper should package this better when it goes in the box. My last two shipments have been leaking.

It took 3-4 rounds of spraying…during a dry stretch, but it finally killed the grass growing in my phlox. The other plants seem to be fine.
