Hydraulic Cylinder for 7 X 12" Metal Cutting Band Saw

I replaced the cylinder on my JET bandsaw with this unit . It was an exact fit and works great ! Can't beat the price and quality !

Put on Carolina saw. Excellent product

After two Carolina replacement cylinders failed I decided to give this a try. I wish I found this cylinder 20 years ago, it is a vast improvement over the undersized stock cylinder (see photo for comparison). This is an excellent upgrade, almost like getting a brand new bandsaw. I highly recommend it, here’s why!This cylinder has excellent fluid metering adjustments. The speed of the down-feed is micro adjustable plus, it has a quick stop lever that halts the feed for material positioning without altering the feed rate. The stock, and replacement Carolina cylinders, requires the opening and closing of the feed control valve to raise and close the saw. Therefore each cut needs to have the down feed adjusted every single time.With this cylinder, once the down-feed rate is set there is no need to adjust it again as it has an up-travel bypass. Just lift the saw up after the cut is finished to the height needed, lock the lever, and the down-feed force will be exactly the same as the last cut when you start the saw.....This feature is very convenient for repetitive cut offs (more so when used in conjunction with a material stop)

I have a 12 yr old WongFU 7x12 horizontal bandsaw with a seriously worn hydraulic feed! This is an excellent replacement. Received it pretty quick. Easy install. Seemingly a very high quality unit. Works perfectly. My only complaint is that it cost me 25% of what my saw did new!

This works to repair the harbor freight saw. You will just have to drill out the mounting hole in the cylinder end a little bit.

Nice cylinder, control is excellent, but product support is lacking. Cylinder was received in a re-used auto part box with no instructions or hardware. There is no QR code or reference for long term care and maintenance, making this a true Ebay / Amazon / Etsy sort of purchase. Yet, for the price, I would expect better. This is not a direct bolt in for a Carolina HD10 and requires careful fabrication to remount, with limited mounting options on the cylinder (& for a rear mounted unit, on the saw), given the design of the cylinder. It (the cylinder) works and is nice, but required a fair amount of fab time to fit.

I was hesitant to buy since the one I needed to replace did not have the bent tube but was instead a straight tube. I decided to try it and was surprised that when it came in that the new one also had the straight tube contradicting the picture that is being used.Ended up being exactly the one I needed.Our saw is a TurnPro is believe that was purchased 12 years ago.
