Sweepovac-9800260 Sweepovac Built in Kitchen Vacuum Plus Hose and 2 attachments for Below Cabinets and Toe Kick Spaces,Silver

I decided to put this install on hard mode and installed it in my stairs. If installed into the base of a cabinet it should be a pretty straightforward installation. Suction is great. The product comes fully assembled with minimal effort to remove the face plate to access the screws for mounting. Very pleased with this product. I ordered the version with the hose and vacuum attachments which also came with three bags included. I bought this product to replace a stick vacuum I was using in my kitchen because the vacuum didn’t hold that much dirt and roommates kept stealing the charger it plugged into. Helpful that this plugs directly into the wall and you just sweep the dirt into it at floor level rather that walking around with a dust pan full of dirt and dumping it in the trash.

Oh. My. Gosh! We absolutely love this thing! I saw one a couple of years ago and thought, “Oh My Goodness! This is a great idea!” Now, when we found ourselves in the midst of a forced reno due to a leak from our illustrious, ridiculously expensive dishwasher that caused significant hidden damages to our kitchen, dining, powder and laundry room, I remembered this vacuum and ordered it. My husband of 52+ years has learned that I am willing to take a chance on something I’ve researched and so we had it installed. We all love it! I’m a constant sweeper since we have a Weimaraner and two cats. I don’t like to have the buildup of pet hair along with the typical kitchen crumbs on the floor. Dragging out a full-size vacuum cleaner is not always the most efficient use of my time and physical abilities at this point. So I grabbed my broom. I do a quick sweep. I pull it over to the front of this little vacuum cleaner, push the button with my foot and swwooooshhh! The fruff is gone! My only regret is that I didn’t put it on the side of the cabinet rather than under the toe kick… had I been here when they installed it and seen it firsthand I would’ve had it installed on the side of the cabinet rather than under the toe kick area. Still, have I told you how much I love this thing?

Great Idea, & I think overall I am going to like having it. I bought the Slim With Hose - The Pros; fits into my 4 ¼" tall toe kick under my standard kitchen cabinet. Seems fairly powerful, sucked up all the dog and cat fur I swept up to it, and also did a good job when using the hose. Very easy to kick on & off. Not too loud, my Dyson stick vac is louder. The hose has fairly good reach & can stretch around the majority of my kitchen and dining room which is all I need it to do. It plugs into a regular three prong outlet, I installed it in the cabinet next to my wine fridge so it could share that outlet, just had to drill a hole in the back/side of the cabinet so I could thread the cord through. The Cons; there is no way of anchoring the unit to the toe kick, so when I stretch the hose it pulls the whole unit out from under the cabinet. The installation instructions are very vague about the fact that it has to be plugged in - make sure you have an outlet available/installed for a three prong plug. Information about the vacuum bag is confusing, listing it differently in two areas of the description, both "bagless" & "reusable bag" are listed - it in fact uses a reusable bag, and come with one. The bag is easy to access, remove, and open, but not so easy to actually empty - it's a pretty yucky thing to stick your hand up in the bag & pull, scrape and cajole cat and dog fur to let got of the inside of the bag - I was tempted to vacuum the contents out of the bag, which seems a bit counter productive! It's not a total deal breaker (yet - it's still new to me) and I'm sure if you were just vacuuming up crumbs and dust it would be easier to empty out, but the fur kind of sticks to the inside of the bag. I paid extra for the hose, and I'm really not sure if I'm going to end up using it much, in addition to the fact that the hose pulls the whole unit out from under the cabinet, it also does not have a long attachment to hold while standing, so when using the hose one has to stoop down to the ground - I am going to riffle through all my attachments from past vacuums & hope I find something that will be compatible with this one. It was hard to determine the correct dimensions for the unit from the listing, but, for the Slim it will fit so long as you have at least 4 ¼" tall toe kick & your cabinet is standard depth, which is typically 24" deep counter, leaving 21" from back wall to front of toe kick - that's the space where it has to fit. I am going to glue (liquid nails or something similar) the unit to the toe kick face plate, which will hopefully solve the problem of accidentally dragging the whole unit out from under the cabinet. Fingers Crossed.

I am very excited to get this installed in my remodeled kitchen. I look forward to not having to use a dustpan and being able to just sweep dry messes in here. Update: I absolutely love this. I not only sweep dirt into the unit without having to bend down to use a dustpan, but the house attachment is the best. The contractors left a lot of dust and debris under the lazy susans and in the far corners of the deep cabinets. The 6 foot hose reached all those cupboards and I was able to clean all that out. The hose is great when I need to clean up when grandkids track sand in the kitchen and grandbabies drop food on the floor.

I wish I knew about this sooner! Must-have addition to any kitchen!

I’ve heard of things like this but always thought it was something complicated that had to be built into the walls of your house. Our cabinet installer put it in but it looked very easy. This will be so useful for the cat litter in my laundry room. Now I’m thinking every room needs one!

LOVE this thing… it’s probably one of the best additions to have in our kitchen and I honestly didn’t have much faith (this was my husbands selection) but he was excited about it so We got it. Boy did this machine prove me wrong! It’s great! my husband installed and he’s pretty handy so he was able to do it but ..you probably need someone who knows what they are doing. The hose (make sure to get the one with the hose) reaches my entire kitchen, pantry , and breakfast nook. I can sweep the inside of my drawers, floors , life is so easy. Suction power is way better than I anticipated. Comes with 3 reusable vacuum bags. The only thing I wish was that the face plate was white rather than silver so it would blend in more. Other than that, Don’t hesitate to buy!

The cabinet I wanted to place this in only allowed the unit to be installed on the front, not the side (this was due to the length of vacuum). Not a big problem, but you want to make sure there is plenty of room. It's not "short." Cutting the hole was done with an oscillating tool instead of a sabre saw. This seemed to be an easier way to go. Lastly, I had originally intended to plug this into the garbage disposal outlet under the sink but it only works when the switch is flipped on for the disposal. Instead I ran wires to a separate electrical box. Works well and we are pleased with it but it was not slam-dunk-easy to install. I do wish they offered optional face plates. It would be nice to have a color that didn't stand out as much.
