Serves its purpose
Changed out our light fixtures and needed this piece to secure our glass shades. Took measurements and worked perfect for install.

good product
The threads could be a little tighter on the shade ring, but I have 1 order already installed with another order coming, using for grow lights, not 1 bad one yet, very happy here.

Better than expected
I was expecting super cheap, flimsy stuff, but it's actually nice plastic castings, durable, and even nice screws in the base. One tiny drawback... when you put the base in the housing and screw it closed, the housing doesn't hold the base in tightly. There is a little play. Not really a big issue, especially in something like a pendant or a floor lamp, but in my case (repairing a handheld work light) the floppy bulb is a bit annoying. Five stars because they are really nice and I doubt too many of you are fixing work lights.

Lost 1 star for shorting me one
They fit and work great good value. But lost 1 star because I was shorted one in the package , not a huge deal simply because I didn’t need all of them but would have been if i did

Good Vintage look around my bbq at an affordable price
Good light sockets. I used them for a vintage look in my backyard. They look great and came with all the hardware. All I had to add was wire, a bulb and a lampshade. After putting a shade on the first one, I decided they look better naked with a vintage bulb. I would purchase these sockets again. Good value for the price.

They're o.k., could be better....
The plastic outer socket, and all the parts that screw together seem solid and well made. Everything fits together well. I also like that the thread out of the back of the socket is a standard 1/8" pipe thread, so those hollow threaded rods they usually include with light fixtures will screw into these perfectly, which really gives you lots of mounting options other than hanging them by their wires. What I don't like is the metal socket within the plastic base is a really loose fit, and there's nothing that can be done to tighten it up. If you're hanging these lights by the cord, this won't be a problem. If you're attaching these into a lamp, or, as I was hoping to do, use them for a custom ceiling fan light kit I was building, you're not going to like them, because the bulb will always feel loose/wobbly.The metal socket (that the bulb screws into) basically floats inside the screw-together plastic components. The metal socket can't twist, so there's no issue getting a bulb in or out, but there's a good 1/8" of play in all directions, so the bulb can flop around, even if it's screwed in tight. In my ceiling fan, with a slight vibration from the fan, this was no good. I thought about adding a few drops of glue, but was concerned about the heat.Overall, if you're just looking to hang these by the wires, they're a pretty good value, you get a lot of these for a little money, and they're otherwise well-made. But, they didn't suit my needs.
