The Taxidermists Woodshop Black Walnut European Mount Picture Pedestal Plaque

Wanted to celebrate my daughter's first buck which turned out to be a beautiful 2X3 Blacktail (as seen in photo on right) along with her first pheasant. So after viewing many European mounts, I decided on this mount kit. Needless to say it came out beautiful and I must admit the quality of the wood and finish is top notch and definitely worth the price. I finally decided to mount my 2X3 (as seen on left) which was taken back in 2007. I am very pleased how the mount kits look in my family room. Thank you for making such a nice product.

I get many compliments on this mount, the ability to put a picture really sets it off. I also glued the empty shell casing just below the picture.I would have liked it to have all the holes pre-drilled, I am not a wood person, and I was really worried I would wreck this thing.

This turned out great! I love how it displays my European mount! It does need to be assembled and you will have to drill holes and line everything up, but that was not to difficult! Wood is nice high quality and everything is very sturdy!

Great product and a good price. Solid walnut but they are strips glued together and planed down. Still really nice. Instead of the picture I had had my name, location of kill and date laser engraved. My work has a maker space so I engraved it myself and it came out great. I didn't have to refinish the poly. Will buy again for future European mounts. Buy on Amazon as they stand behind all of their products. Ebay's customer service is the worst.

My son got this for his wife birthday. He like it only thing that he didn't was you need a drill to drill a few holes to get it put together, other than that it's a nice piece.

These were easy to assemble and look great! I've shown a couple of people and they are impressed. I love this option as a DIYer. Now I have an excellent option for mounting when I'm done processing the skull! The instructions get you about 90-95%. There are just a couple of minor things that you need to figure out on your own.

Instructions were not the greatest . I personally think the angle is too low needs to raise the head up a little higher other than that it's not a bad product a little pricey don't think I could have made it myself for that price the wood is not a solid slab it looks to be planed strips of Walnut.

Wood quality is strong enough for what it needs to be, finish on mine came perfect. I did purchase it for a 32.5” axis and I will say the angle wasn’t quite right so I had to make an adjustment to the center spacer piece. But I did mock up one of my white tail euros and it was spot on.
