No; we have not used any animal testing since 1984. We were the first sunscreen company to go PABA-free in 1984, Paraben -free in 1986 and have generally led the industry in technology development. We also have natural lipscreen and sunscreens.

Isn’t avobenzone (3%) the exact same thing as oxybenzone?? do they think we all are stupid? i guess so.

No, they are not even remotely connected. You can google or otherwise search the 2 ingredients for verification. Oxybenzone is a broad spectrum UVB blocking sunscreen raw material. Avobenzone is the ONLY UVA blocking raw material authorized by the FDA and almost every foreign government approval agency in the world, for use in sunscreen. Further, when the FDA updated its Final Rule, which governs label claims on sunscreen, actually requires that manufacturers include, specifically, Avobenzone at 3% level, into all chemical sunscreens, OR be required to place a warning/hazard label on their packaging stating that their products will NOT block UVA rays. We were one of the first sunscreen makers in the world to eliminate oxybenzone, formulating new items in 2007 and 2008 to be oxybenzone free: 10 years ahead of most of the world, who deleted it only after being forced to do so by the State of Hawaii, which outlawed its use in sunscreen being sold in Hawaii, in a law passed April 2018, taking effect January, 2021. You do NOT want to wear a chemical sunscreen that does not have Avobenzone in it and you do NOT want to wear a chemical sunscreen that DOES have Oxybenzone in it, if your goal is to protect your skin and your health.  You may go and pull up the Hawaii law and read it, and you may easily investigate what Oxybenzone does and what Avobenzone does. The reason Oxybenzone was specifically eliminated is that the University of Hawaii found this to be the #1 sunscreen active that creates damage to the reefs.
