Effective for a stubborn Husky
I have a very sweet, but very hyperactive and headstrong siberian husky. Having used an e-collar for training dogs in the past, I wanted to use it for him. The problem is that huskies have such thick fur that most of the prongs dont touch their skin, so they dont feel anything. These thick-hair steel prongs work really well though, even with his thick coat. His behavior has improved drastically and now I rarely have to use the collar at all. Very pleased.

Works amazingly
My dog would not listen whatsoever because he has such thick fur and he is very stubborn on top of that (Shiba Inu/ Husky) he wouldn’t feel anything lower than 15. I would have to put it on so tight and try to use water to make him actually feel it. But once I got the new contact points, he listens at 3. Very nice buy!

Works great on my thick-haired Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix
I have a 2-year old Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix with very thick fur especially around the neck. I tried the long-hair contact points that came with the Educator and they didn't work on my dog. No contact.I switched to the Educator Thick-Haired Contact Points and I have had near 100% success so far (about one week). I am following instructions from the book "Everything you need to know about E Collar Training" by Larry Krohn Everything you need to know about E Collar Training except that I did NOT use a Furminator to remove dead fur before putting on the e-collar. My dog's working level is usually 4 or 5.The only caveat is that I wait at least 30 minutes, usually more, between putting the collar on and starting training. I think the dog's natural movement helps the points settle in and get good contact.UPDATE: 6/28/17After posting this review I did have a day or two where I did not get contact thru my dog's thick fur. I used a Furminator to remove dead fur and then it was working fine again.

So far so good, Perfect Fit, Stainless Steel,
I have a 70 pound black lab that has the typical heavey winter coat. I had the longer (3/4") prongs that came with my Educator (Einstein) Boss E-Collar. They work but have the roaded tip and in order to have consistant contact, I need to tighten the collar to a point where I think it is uncomfortable for my dog. So I purchased these hoping it would allow me to have the collar on a little more losely for comfort.First of all, they look smaller in the package and I could swear they were not 3/4", I was wrong. They are exactly the size of the longer ones that came with the collar. Same Diameter as well but have a significanly different tip. I loosened the collar up significantly and turned her loose. It worked flawlessly. The tips are small but more pointed as pictured but they make it through all layers of her coat. She is shedding right now, but I have no wories about whether there will be contact when I need it. Honestly think these should be included with the collar, but thats a different story. Best collar I have ever owned.

They are great!
I purchased the mini educator collar and the prongs were too small. These created such a better and clear contact point so my dog wasn’t feeling any pain, they are great

Good product
This paired with the bungee collar really helped with comfort and contact with my GSD. The double coat definitely makes it tricky to make contact with him. Only draw back with these is that they’re not that comfortable and I know my dog doesn’t love them, but with the bungee collar it makes it way more pleasant for him, and he doesn’t mind it.

We saw an immediate difference.
I have a German Shepherd and we were having issues with how tight the collar had to be to get him to react, it seemed as if we were choking him. And often times we couldn’t get a good response no matter how high we had the remote. We purchased these at the recommendation of our trainer, and after installation I noticed an immediate difference! We have cut our numbers in half to get a triggered response out of our dog. He has more slack in the collar to feel comfortable, and I know he’s still getting the buzz. For 8 bucks these are a great investment. Buy now!

Perfect
Perfect. Ordered for my mini educator. Already have started conditioning my Siberian husky Malamute X to the e collar and it works well on the average setting for conditioning (6) -this number is not the same for all dogs, you must look for your dog's level individually as all dogs are different. I highly recommend you purchase Larry Krohns e collar training book before using your e collar, it can be found on Amazon too. The e collar is a great tool but can easily be abused, so education is must first! The book is short, took an hour or two to read and not expensive :)

Great for thick-haired dogs
Works much better for our dog than the standard contact points. Gets through his thick fur and allows a lower level stim.

Not like the picture
I’m not sure I received the right probes as they look nothing like the picture. They look more like the titanium 3/4 probes. A positive is that they fit my dogtra arc. I’ll try them & update.

Points do not fit the EZ-900
I ordered the "Educator CP-Thick Thick-Haired Contact Points for Einstein Remote Dog Trainers, 3/4-Inch". The points did not fit the Educator EZ900. The Thread on the points did not match that of the posts.

I could not use my ecollar without this upgrade
My dog is an Alaskan Shepherd (GSD x Alaskan Malamute). He has a THICK double coat with a coarse outer layer and very insulating inner layer. I got the thick-haired contact points shortly after getting my ecollar. The contact points that come with the ecollar were not reliable at all. When I tested them on my dog I found he would only feel it 1 out of 10 times. Extremely frustrating when you're trying to teach your dog to reliably recall. The thick fur contact points instantly started working 99.9% of the time (sometimes having to adjust it on a rare occasion). For added comfort I upgraded to the collar with elastic and buckle because I was slightly worried about the increased pressure on my dog's neck. This way there is some give for when his neck muscles contract. I got this about half a year ago, and after using the contact points daily I have no regrets or complaints
