Ok, so I don't ever leave reviews but this... this product is... well how do I put it? Like someone squeezed lemon juice on ripped up cardboard. Like someone left it out on the counter overnight and then threw it in the freezer for two years. Don't buy this unless you enjoy the flavor and texture of sour cat's tongue. Or key lime carpet. No dairy product should ever taste like this. Is it made from raccoon milk? It's like the April Fool's of cottage cheese. It's like finding out cottage cheese is adopted. It actually makes other delicious things taste awful. Can you imagine tomatoes suddenly turning into oranges in your mouth? Or what you thought was a sweet potato was really an unripe persimmon. I just don't understand how you can make cottage cheese taste this bad. Incredibly ingenuity or blind rage? Nancy, I don't know who hurt you, but please don't take it out on cottage cheese.

This product contains too much sodium, 300mg .per half cup. This is unhealthy for anyone, but particularly if managing sodium intake is a concern .I regret having bought it and wish Whole foods would be more careful about what they are selling. FYI, Mexico is now labeling foods "excessive in" sugar, unhealthy fats,sodium, etc. right on the front of the product, so you don't have to squint to see the small print on the back.

I expected this to taste like regular cottage cheese. BOY was I WRONG! it tastes SOUR like it's bad. I checked expiration date to make sure it wasn't bad. I looked up reviews regarding the taste and I found out it's supposed to taste sour/tangy. It's a taste I wasn't prepared for. But it's ok. I had to add strawberries and some grapes. There is NOWAY I can eat this alone. The texture is great. It's a good cottage cheese. Just be prepared not to taste what you are used too. I ate it and will finish it the container. It's good for you.

Nancy's cottage cheese is my absolute favorite. I LOVE that it is unique, and rich tasting (even the low fat version), delightfully sour, tangy, and full of living probiotic cultures. Your gut balance and health will thank you for consuming this high integrity, quality product. I actually drive quite a number of miles to buy this incredibly flavorful, natural and REAL tasting cottage cheese. I use it in place of sour cream or cream cheese to make dips or top bagels. A scoop is a great addition to a salad.It has a fine, firm/granular curd texture and I understand that for many people it is far from what they are used to, hence the bad reviews. Don’t buy it expecting it to be like conventional, mild tasting or bland, grocery store cottage cheese. That stuff is usually heavily processed and stripped of live cultures, artificially thickened, and creamed with gums and other junk ingredients.This is REAL cottage cheese and it honestly tastes almost exactly like my grandma’s homemade cottage cheese from my childhood. This is the only cottage cheese of its kind in stores that I know of. I hope that Nancy’s Cottage Cheese keeps its tangy, delightful, probiotic goodness formula for many years to come. I’ll keep driving ++++ the miles to find and buy it.

The absolute worst rancid, pungent, sour tasting cottage cheese ever!I had to throw out my lasagne because it tainted every ingredient and was completely inedible.Good luck with this one!

I guess I should have known that probiotic dairy products taste sour and almost rotten. I'm going to try to make a dip since I bought two containers.
