I saw soooo many negative reviews for this product and I want to clarify! The reason sooo many people had burn marks is because they were using the wax strips incorrectly!1. Make sure you’re wearing gloves! Or if you don’t have gloves, make sure your hands are throughly cleaned (you don’t want bacteria to get into the open pores and cause bumps)2. Make sure the wax is warm (I found that sitting them over a glass of hot water worked fine for me)3. BABY POWDER! On the area you’re waxing, this way the wax does not stick to your skin but just the hair4. Make sure your surface is cleaned, I use rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad to clean my surface. Your face has bacteria on it, not cleaning the surface will allow bacteria to enter into your skin and cause bumps!5. Apply wax strip to the area you’re removing hair from and pull fast in the opposite direction the hair Is growing. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE STRIP HAS BEEN PULL APPLY PRESSURE TO THIS AREA FOR 3 seconds, this help prevent irritation6. Left over hair? Do not use a new wax strip, fold the used wax strip in half along the sticky side and use the back of the strip to do small quick wax’s in a peeling potion NOT A PULLING MOTION. The hair already has wax on it so it’s ready to stick to the back of the wax strip.7. DO NOT REWAX! This is what cause the burns because your skin is now sensitive. If there is a lot of hair left then start over from step one! Do not apply new wax strip because it will stick to your skin and cause burns. IN THE CASE OF HAIR LEFT BEHIND you should tweeze those hairs, you don’t want to damage your skin.8. After your area is cleared of hair and wax (again rubbing or the finishing oil on a cotton pad will be your finishing solution to remove wax) apply some finipil!! This can be purchased on amazon as well but highly recommended to buy at Walmart or your local spa.Finipil is a cream that is used after waxes that help prevent ingrowns and bumps it help fight off bacteria from getting into your open pores.STOP LETTING BAD REVIEWS DICTATE YOUR PURCHASES - these are not professionals and they did not know what they were doing!

Saves me $$$
I love this particular SH wax strips. I used to go to the salon every month to get my face waxed before the pandemic. Couldn’t go anymore so I found these. I see some people say it doesn’t work for them or had burn marks. But I’ve been using it for years and never had them not work or ever had a burn marks. What I do is rub the strip in between my hands for 10 seconds to warm it up. I pull it apart and stick them on. I press down a few times running my fingers over the strip and pull off. When I pull it off, I use one hand to pull back my skin so my skin is taut and use the other hand to pull off the strip. As soon as I put it on, I pull it off within a matter of seconds. Maybe people getting burns are leaving it on for too long. I don’t use baby powder either. It does leave a sticky residue on my face and I use rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad to get it off. After I do that, I wash my face and then apply the oil that comes in the package. My hair grows back super fast so it doesn’t last 8 weeks like the package suggests so I do it every 3-4 weeks. And one box is good for about 4-5 waxes. But I noticed the price tripled within the last month. It went from about $5 to $15.

Didn't work
Very disappointed. It was more of sticky adhesive than wax. Didn't take the hair off. Left a very sticky face that soap or alcohol couldn't remove. Had to put on powdered makeup to cover it.

Works great on some spots, but won't get the whole thing smooth.
First time self-waxer, bought these to try out because my friend was raving about how smooth she was after her wax at the salon. Didn't want to pay the salon price so thought I'd try it myself. Have gone through 2 boxes and the whole process twice to make sure I'm giving this a fair review. Yes of course it's painful what did you expect? Onto the usefulness of the product. It's only really good for flat smooth surfaces. On any parts of skin that have wrinkles, creases, or a curved shape it won't really work. Had to use about 6 to get all the hair on each armpit, since there's hairs growing in different directions and it has a lot of curves to it. Had to go in with tweezers to finish. The result was nice though when I finally did get all the hairs out. As for down there, on some of the areas, mainly the middle top area, works pretty good. However, upon close inspection I could see that it did not get the follicle and ripped some hairs instead of pulling the whole thing out and it left it kind of stubbly like 1 day shave stubble, which was annoying because I couldn't rewax it and if I shaved it I would probably get razor bumps and ingrown hairs so I had to leave it. It was especially ineffective near the crease where your leg starts because of the curve. Unfortunate because this is the area that you really want to look nice as it's the part you see when you're wearing underwear or a bikini. The first time it took me an hour because I was still learning, the second time around I got more hairs and I was quicker, however even so I still did not get that great of results. There were some spots I tried over and over with the strip facing this way and that way and still no dice. So all in all, I would say it's slightly better than shaving and something I may use for special occasions, but wouldn't say it's convenient enough to completely replace shaving for me. Just ordered the ouchless wax kit also by Sally Hansen where it actually comes with wax you heat in the microwave, maybe that will work better.
