SO IMPRESSED!
UPDATE: 6/3/16 Well, it worked great.....until it didn't! Suddenly, in April, the mail rack which was holding solidly on the wall just decided to drop to the floor without warning. So, these strips will hold 2 lbs of weight without a problem for about 4 months before it gives.(Note- I live in a high humidity area) It is a temporary fix. I'll either have to apply new strips or actually drill screws into the studs after all. ORIGINAL REVIEW 1/1/16 To tell you the truth, I was very apprehensive about how just well this product would actually perform. I have several items I want to put up on my walls but don't want the hassle/damage of drilling holes and placing screws in my drywall or the worry of missing wall studs or disturbing hidden electrical wires. After reading a ton of positive reviews, I decided to give these Command picture hanging strips a shot. I love Command hooks so this looked promising. All I can say is WOW! I can't believe how solidly these strips hold the 2 lb metal mail/key rack on the wall. I expected, at best, there would be some wobble/movement when touched or lightly pushed, but no, it is solidly in place on the wall. And, keep in mind that I only used 2 sets cut in half lengthwise (a half strip placed on each of the 4 corners of the rack). If the item were much heavier, I would have used full strips to assure adequate hold strength. But I do believe 2 full strip sets could easily hold 4 lbs or more. I have to confess, I skipped the wall prep step as well as the "place back strip only on wall for an hour to allow for best adhesion" step. Still, it appears to be solidly anchored. I'll be monitoring over the next week to see if I encounter any long term problems with it falling off the wall but given the solid hold it now has, I really don't expect any problems. I now also plan to use these strips to put up a cork/dry erase message board in my kitchen next week. I would caution that you need to be careful to place the pull tabs on the strips in as an accessible position as possible. If I were to have to remove the strips in the future, I would probably have to carefully pry with a butter knife between the two velcro strips on each corner before trying to remove the rack/the strips from the wall since I hid the pull tabs behind instead of placing below the edges of the rack (for aesthetics) which would have given a ready access to the removal tabs. Bye bye screws and drill holes. These couldn't be easier to use. I'm sold on these.

I swear by Command products
I usually use the Command 17042 Sawtooth Picture-Hanging Hooks with Adhesives Strips, 3 Hangers, 6 Strips for all my hanging needs. And when I say 'all' I really do mean ALL. I have everything from framed art, photographs, canvases, metal sculptures, cords, wooden carvings, candle holders, etc -- all hung with the sawtooth hooks. The list goes on for a while. The ONLY reason why I'd never tried these before was simply because I like that the sawtooth hooks are reusable (and can hold heavier weights) as long as you have more of the sticky parts. These velcro kind are one use only in the sense that once you want to move the picture or whatever, you have to put a new one on the wall. They are reusable though if you are wanting to pull the picture off and then put it back up in the same place though. For that, it works brilliantly. In fact, I have eight 8x8" wooden art pieces with tiny holes in the back of them to hang. The sawtooth hooks do not fit in the holes so I was stuck looking for a different solution unless I wanted to enlarge the holes which I didn't. So I reluctantly bought these thinking that it was iffy that they would hold the weight of the wood (probably about two pounds each). I hung all of them up about four months ago and until last week, they stayed there securely. Last week, we had to have our entire place rewired and so the electricians took them all down leaving the velcro up on the wall. When they were done a few days later, I put the wood pieces back up and they reattached just as nicely as the first time and haven't budged since. I've been so impressed thus far that I have recently bought two more packs of these just to keep in my Command bag for future use. I would definitely recommend these if you have something that is small and doesn't weigh all that much. And if you want extra security, just put two on each frame and you should be good to go. I do that with the sawtooth hooks all the time and it works like a charm.

great for plaster walls
I love these, they really work. I was skeptical at first, but had no choice but to try them as I was destroying my plaster walls trying to hang pictures. They really are easy to use, really do hold the picture and you really can reposition the picture w/in the first few minutes after hanging it w/o peeling the paint off the wall. Everything is as advertised. You also really can remove the picture days/weeks/months later - it's like velcro where 1/2 the velcro will stay on your wall and 1/2 on your picture so you can replace the photo or whatever you need to do and re-hang it. I know they come in small, medium and large, but I just use the medium for everything. **** Update1: I have had pictures fall off the wall after a month or 2, but I still use these because it's better than putting a hole in your wall. In my case I would just have blank walls because it's impossible to get a nail into them. Also, I used these to mount some small decorative pieces (e.g. a butterfly, a small mirror) that have a hook for my 3 year old daughter to hang her stuff up and she tends to pull them off the wall, but it's OK because the velcro just separates and I can just mount it again really easily - no spare parts necessary. So I would say they are kid-proof, too, versus using nails - as long as the object itself is kidproof. **** Update2: I took a real leap of faith and used these to secure a shelf over my son's door. I used 2 strips just to be safe and it's a really small decorative shelf with just his baby shoes on it. Hasn't come down yet! But the same 8 x 10 frame that came down the first time has come down again - there is a stand on the back of the frame that keeps it from lying flat and adhering to the wall on all sides.

These strips work surprisingly well and have held up my pictures for more than two years. I have not had a single picture fall yet and the best part is that unlike hanging a picture with a nail or screw, this keeps pictures from tilting so they stay straight. Cheap and effective is always a great combination in my book. Perfect for my situation of apartment living. Less fuss for when I move out.

These things are great but expensive!
I used these to hang light-weighted objects on my walls like posters, or more recently my license plate collection. I won't hang frames with them, especially not glass frames, but that's my person preference. They hold up well for light-weighted items. They are so easy to use and stick in seconds. It's also a nice feature that if you take on down you can save the strip attached to the item itself if you are moving it elsewhere. The price is my only complaint. It is hardly economical to purchase these. I chose to buy them in bulk on Amazon to save a few dollars versus the store. Command needs to introduce either cheaper strips or a discounted bulk product. I find you will go through one box before you know what hit you!

TRY THIS PRODUCT
Command medium Picture-Hanging Strips are AMAZING. It has instructions that are easy to follow on the package, and the application steps are fairly simple. The amount of time necessary for the entire process is a few hours including the drying, but takes minimal time and effort to complete the entire process. The adhesion is very good, but not visible. The strips are very durable, and can hold fairly heavy pictures. My pictures are successfully being hung securely onto the wall and there is zero damage to my walls so far. This product is very unique, and there are no other products like this one. If you want to hang up a picture on your wall, this would be the best option because it does not damage your walls, but still gets the work done. This item is also very affordable. I would definitely recommend this product if you ever want to hang something with no damage with a good price.

Love these!
I use these a lot and I really like them. I've used them to hang pictures, small mirrors, tiny knick-knack shelves and whatever else I want to stick to my walls. I have plaster walls and I'd rather not use nails or screws. I've even used them on the bottom of objects to keep my cats from knocking stuff off of shelves. I've used them for temporary decoration during the holidays as well. If you want to economize and you plan it right, you can take down a picture and put up a temporary decoration on the same wall strip. A real advantage is that they're easy to reposition to straighten the item, and then it never becomes uneven again. I'm very impressed by the entire line of Command products, but these are my favorites! I wish they came in a jumbo sized package though - it seems like I'm always buying them.

Kind of Disappointed
I'm kind of disappointed in these. Yeah, they make picture hanging easy. And I don't end up with nail holes all over my apartment walls. But they are not as easy to remove as advertised. In addition, they seem to dry out or something after a while. The other day, a framed photo fell off my bedroom wall. It had been hanging for almost two years and the stickiness just seemed to wear out or something. The frame broke when it hit the floor. And then I struggled to peel the strip off the wall. Most of it came off but some of it is still there. I'm going to have to try to scrape it off with a razor or something.

A word of caution
These are great, for the most part, however if humidity gets higher, don’t rely on their security. I doubled up on a relatively light but large picture and it came crashing down the other day. I have central air conditioning and relatively low humidity in my home, but this past heat wave was all it took. I’ve now ordered command water resistant strips in the hopes I’ll have more luck as there is no sticky left on these ones at all. In use only seven months.

Sehr gutes Produkt
Habe damit ein rahmenloses Bild aufgehängt und es hält super. Musste es auch einmal umhängen und daher kann ich auch sagen dass sich der Klebestreifen rückstandsfrei entfernen lies.

A must for picture hanging!
Really impressed with these strips which have saved so much time in hanging pictures. A little more difficult for getting the picture level but a helper holding a spirit level makes short work of it. Really handy to keep around and can't recommend enough.

Good product but be careful
The strips are good but if the wall or frame is uneven then the strips go waste if they don’t stick. So i wasted three pairs already so quite bummed about it. ☹️
