U.S. WW2 Style M1936 Musette Bag with Shoulder strap Lt OD marked JT&L 1943

This is a replica of an original WW2 bag I bought at an antique store many years ago. I used the antique every day. Being decades old already, it started wearing down, so I bought this replica bag as a replacement because I love the aesthetic and the sturdy material.As a replica I think people will appreciate the manufacture markings on the inside, the metal fastenings and buttons, and the quality material.But I use it as a purse and I think it's actually an improvement in that regard. It's roomier than the original. My old one couldn't fit my 14in laptop but this one does it handily. I love that it has the same pocket arrangement - one on the outside back, one on the side (both buttoned), and four interior compartments (the large main one, and two smaller sleeve-pockets with a medium pouch at the back).The only downside is that I couldn't get it in olive green...

The bag is very authentic looking and feels like it will last for a long time. I purchased this as an impromptu camera bag for when I don't want to lug around all of my gear in a backpack. I think the extra pockets will work well for this purpose. My only complaint was that it had a strong musty odor when I received it, but that's an easy fix. The company is US based and they even threw in a nicely made card with customer service info. I'm pleased with the purchase!- DA

It is very similar to the original 1943 musette bag I have in my collection of WWII gear. I wanted a replica to use when I do living history presentations (rather than take a nice original). I am of the opinion that it will work wonderfully for that purpose, as the construction is good and materials are good, as well. Having the shoulder strap included is a plus. Thus, I highly recommend this musette bag.

I love this bag. I use it for everything. My surface pro fits beautifully with some books and things needed for a day. It's very comfortable and rests right at my hip.

Can't beat the price! Made in India and decent stitching and canvas material. I'll need to waterproof it before a tramp in the woods but over all satisfied.

Arrived quickly in excellent condition. The shoulder strap hid from me for a while, but I found it and attached it. I used it for a Range bag today carrying revolvers and ammo. A versatile bag that I will use regularly. I like the military character of the bag.
