These Crisscross Sheet Suspender Stay-downs did the trick for me and my mattress.
I did a lot of searching on the net and am glad I found these. I think it was the gripper that sold me. I was not expecting anything great but when I opened the package and laid my eyes on them I knew it would work well. I did not put them on corner to corner diagonally as shown in the directions. The reason being was that my problem was the side of the mattress pad was coming up and bunching up underneath me as I tossed and turned. I do a quick eyeball check every day when I get up from sleeping or tossing and turning, and the pad is staying in place now thanks to these suspenders. Oh, I placed the suspenders crisscross to hold the sides down along with the top and bottom. I have given thought to buying another set to place diagonally since the corners do tend to want to come up over time. Though this has not been my main problem I will give it some more time for now.One thing I would like to see added to the suspender is some type of 'take up' clip whereby one could adjust the slack out of the straps when placing them crisscross like I have. I feel that this installation on this queen size bed, the straps could have been a bit more snug and I would like to have been able to adjust it tighter. Maybe the manufacturer will see this suggestion and make that an option? Anyway, I give the product five stars because someone actually thought of this and is manufacturing and selling them to the needy public. Good job!Update: 10/02/2013 - I must apologize to the manufacturer and anyone else who might have read my review. I stated at the end of my review that I thought the manufacturer needed to add a 'take-up' clip to adjust the slack out of the straps. Well, not long after posting this review I went to have another look at the straps and upon closer inspection, low and behold, there are 'take-up' clips at each end of the straps. I was pleasantly surprised and went about adjusting each one until the straps felt just snug enough to hold the mattress pad firmly but not too firm to tear out the material over a short amount of time. This is my worst fear, a short term use of the mattress pad if the clips are pulling too tight and the material just pulls apart over time. Cheesecloth is the word that comes to mind now that I am thinking about the material that is sewed around the sides of the mattress pad and this cheesecloth is also pulled down around the corners of the mattress and the sides. I am on my second mattress pad in my lifetime of using them. As long as you don't stain them too badly you can live a long time with them, washing them occasionally to keep them sanitary to your liking. So, don't hesitate on this product I would say. You found the right item but if you really want to do it one better than I have so far, buy two pair to pull at eight places on the pad instead of four. Four works for me at the moment but time will tell. I'm sure the manufacturer has tested these out and you won't see them recommended two pair, but I will. :) These things are economical enough, why not. Good luck and enjoy!

Elastic Suspenders For Your Bed Sheets
Suspenders for the bed . . . Who would've thought?! My husband rolls in his sleep, which tends to pull the sheets and mattress cover off on his side of the bed. I tried the small elastic clips, but they'll hold for a day or two, then pop off. I was getting tired of having to fix the sheets every night before going to bed, but then I found this product. I was skeptical, but desperate, so I finally gave in and ordered it.Wow.Basically, it's two long elastic straps with a special kind of clip at each end. It does a great job of holding the sheets in place! And you don't have to lift the mattress up, either. I was worried about how I would manage to install these straps, since I'm a petite woman, and disabled to boot, so I really can't lift a mattress. But you don't have to! You clip one corner of the fitted sheet, then just walk around the bed, holding the strap. It should automatically slide under the mattress as you walk around to the other side. Clip it to the opposite corner, diagonally. Then repeat the process with the second strap. They should form an X underneath your mattress. If they aren't tight enough to keep your sheets from slipping off, you can tighten each strap. There's a Velcro section near each clip, which you can tighten. The Velcro isn't the easiest to reach, since you have to keep the strap attached to the sheets while you're tightening it. So, it's a bit awkward, but once it's tightened, that's it. You're set until the next time you wash your sheets. In the weeks that we've had this product attached to our bed, we've only needed to adjust the mattress pad once, after it inched its way down, wrinkling underneath the sheets. Other than that, the sheets have been smooth and flat, with the corners securely fastened. I'm impressed and grateful, so I'll give this product four stars. (One star deducted for the difficulty in tightening the Velcro portion of the straps.) Highly recommended if you have trouble with your fitted sheets pulling loose while you sleep.

Great Product
I use these clips to hold up my pants and skirts under my clothing. My nonexistent middle-age waistline causes my pants to roll down and it is most uncomfortable and unattractive. I am sure I am not the only woman with this problem. I previously found a solution in my local sewing supply store using ironing board cover clips that came in assorted lengths. I attached one end of the elastic clip to the area of my bra between the two cups and the other to the center of the top of my skirt or pants. The concept worked but the clips were metal and did not provide a strong enough hold and often opened. This would not be an issue if I was using them for the intended purpose but I needed a better clip. The stores I checked did not have anything so I hit the internet and my search led me to discover the Hold-It Brand line of products. I loved the idea of plastic clips so I ordered these Sheet Mattress Corner clips to try them out. I received the clips and absolutely LOVE them. However the elastic portion is too long to attach the way I had done with the metal clips. I improvised by clipping them higher up on each side of my bra where it would be the correct length. For me, it was right next to the where the strap attaches. This method required using two Hold-It straps but I actually liked this effect better. The company sent a pamphlet of all of their products with my order and I noticed that they offer a product designed for pregnant women who would also have the disappearing waistline problem. It goes on like a vest and could possible be THE solution I am looking for. I ordered one and also another set of the Mattress Cover straps buy have not yet received this order. (Comment, I ordered them nearly two months ago.) Hopefully, I will receive this before my upcoming trip to Europe.
