The media could not be loaded.  I gave this jump rope 4 stars because even though it broke at the handle I was able to pop it back in. It held for the rest of my workout. I like the leather rope because it works better on concrete but the handles are short. I wish they made the handles like 1-2 inches bigger. Since this jump rope is technically broken I'm looking for another leather type jump rope but with weighted inserts for the handles. Any suggestions? Does the King brand make those types?

The seller offers several types of jump rope to suit different purposes. I purchased the lightweight leather rope and I am very happy with it. I followed the seller's instructions on how to correctly size the rope to fit me and it was very easy to do. Upon arrival the rope had some curl to it from being rolled up in the box but all I had to do was stretch it a bit and hang it up for a day and the curls went away, and of course it is getting even better as I am starting to use it. This jump rope is the perfect piece of exercise equipment. You can use it outside to enjoy nice weather, but it works fine in the house when the weather is not nice. It is always ready to use, but when stored away (hung up) it takes up zero room. It took a little practice to get going but it gets easier with each use. At 67 years old, 5'3" and 105 pounds, I definitely did not need anything heavy or fancy. I just needed something to get me moving and get my heart pumping. This jump rope is a great choice, fills the bill perfectly, and the price is so right!

I put Neatsfoot oil on the leather rope and silicone in the bearings in the handle. I used it today for the first time for about 45 minutes. It's easy to size. There are metal crimpers to tighten the rope to desired length. Adding an additional pair of crimpers would be beneficial, as I sized it wrong the first time and hand to try to unfasten and not break the crimper. The rope is light weight. Its a little kinked now and I hope it will straighten with use and more neatsfoot oil. I like this rope. I think I prefer a little heavier weight to the rope . My husband likes it at this weight. I prefer this over cable ropes, and the cheep plastic rope. I think I prefer the aerospeed over this, but all in all, I do like this rope, I think it's a great value for the sale price and I like the donation to breast/prostrate cancer assoc. I also like that it has a 5 year replacement warranty, simply because I think that's excellent customer service, which makes me a loyal customer.

First leather jump rope. New to jumping rope and found it is a easy way to get your heart rate up for a quick, easy workout. Not much prep or room needed. I have a heavy braided rope, a metal cable speed rope, a vinyl speed rope and the leather jump rope. They all are different as far as feel and speed. Didn’t know there was so much difference in types,speed and behaviors, Lol! Got the leather because traditionally boxers use them. Great product and awesome price!! First timers, here’s some tips. The rope should be conditioned to make it supple and keep it from drying out. I used mink oil applied with a rag. After several applications over several days it is darkening and the rope has a little more weight to it now. After one more treatment, once or twice a month should do it for maintenance. Also hang the rope up in the middle, do not coil it up and tie it. Start slow and work on technique and speed and proficiency will come, never thought I’d be jumping rope-love it! Highly recommend, going to buy another. Overall the leather is my favorite.

I recieved this product free in exchange for a fair and honest review. This product is great! Very high quality! The handles are soft foam for optimum grip, very lightweight so you don't tire out easily! The jumrope is adjustable so no worries that its to long, it is long to begin with so that there isn't any worry about it being to short if you happen to be tall to begin with. The instructions on how to moisturize the leather to keep it pliable and lasting are simple to understand! They have a bonus weight that is easy to navigate and helps you to reach your fitness goals, including different ways to incorperarate jump rope into your workout! I haven't jumpropew since I was a kid until I got this one. Best jump rope I've ever seen! The only jump rope I have ever known to have a lifetime warranty!

The jump rope was much lighter than I expected, but it does the job. I've read some of the complaints about difficulty adjusting the length, but I found it to be easy - the end caps are easily removed with a thin screwdriver blade and the crimped washer that holds the rope in place can be slid to change the length.I also read complaints about the rope having folds and kinks in it. While this was true at first, the more I use it, the more straight it gets. Plus I treated it with some leather conditioner and hung it handles down from a coat rack, which helped to get some kinks out.I have an above average fitness level, but found jump rope to be very challenging. I plan to do it regularly to improve my fitness! I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Nothing difficult about this review. I'll be 33 in a few days and am tired of results of eating and drinking too much. 6'0, 220 lbs. My goal was to add rope a daily routine and this seemed like a high-quality product at a good price (though I don't know the market for ropes that have handles on them).1. Shipping - I had UPS notices on my apartment door days before I expected them. The rope arrived faster than I expected, even as a Prime member.2. Description - Item arrived new in box with no defects, packaged appropriately. I like the look. Though I did not manipulate the length of the rope, it looks like it'd be very easy to pop the tops off the handles, feed the rope through, and tie off wherever you need. The leather rope is lightweight but has no response issues and has that classic sound. Bearings in the handles seem to be fine.A high quality product and easy to use at home.

Hard to cut and adjust.

Skipping is becoming ever more popular with 'serious' sports players so a friend suggested I buy one. I did some investigation and decided upon this product and I'm so glad that I did. It was dispatched promptly, was very well packaged and is exactly as described. I had a question about how to shorten the leather rope and the seller answered it very quickly giving me exactly the information I needed. This is a quality product being sold at a remarkably budget price and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to get into some skipping exercise.

It's a good skipping rope for exercise and the straps were okay to adjust but not entirely user friendly. However, the packaging was damaged on arrival but not the product itself. I signed up to the lifetime warranty and then received an email from the founder asking to tell them more about the purpose of how I will use the rope for future personalised emails. A bit overboard for a skipping rope to me and a bit strange.

The heavier weigh of the rope makes it eaiser to feel and control. Good for adults who struggle to use light weigh rubber ropes.

I was looking for a non pvc rope for a beginner. Am really pleased with this one. It was easy to adjust the length. Arrived quickly. The handles are comfy and I got up to a good speed really quickly!
