I ordered this case with a lot of concerns. I wanted something light to make one handed reading comfortable. I wanted it to be thing so that it wouldn't bulk up my device in my hand/pocket. I also wanted something that would protect the screen if my paperwhite was stored in a pocket or a bag. I probably changed the cases in my cart twenty times before taking a deep breath and submitting my order for this case. I kept wondering if a sleeve would be better to keep the device light for one handed reading and worried that the case would bulk it up and make it no better to hold than my android tablet (uncomfortable to grip and too heavy for reading). All of that aside, this case exceeds all of my greatest hopes for a case. It fit PERFECTLY on my paperwhite and once I snapped it in it wasn't going anywhere. The case is incredibly light and honestly I can't tell much difference between the weight of the kindle with and without the case. This case also happens to be extremely thin. To grip it is an easy grip and thus far (2 days in) has no scratches or finger print issues whatsoever. I believe this case is the best deal out there, I shopped around a lot and this one was a tremendous bargain. Forty bucks for the official kindle case made by amazon is crazy! This case has the magnet for auto shutoff when closed just like the amazon one for a fraction the price. I have had no issues with this scratching my kindle as another reviewer noted and the delivery by Dealbarn was quick and nicely packaged. They were friendly and sent a thank you email offering to assist with any issues and I have none thus far. Pros: -Very light, harldy noticeable -doesn't look cheap at all, but a very good deal -nice and thin -simple and elegant design -auto off when closed works great Cons: -nothing so far In closeing this case is worth every dollar and you will be suprised by the qualtiy you get for such a good deal. Edit: a year in and I have been thrilled with this case. I bought it for a Christmas present and have recommended it to many friend who have been pleased with it as well. And it saved my precious paperwhite's life! I have dropped it on concrete twice and the case protected it from breaking, I know this case is NOT designed for this sort of impact, but it protected it nonetheless.

I’m very pleased with the OMOTON Kindle Paperwhite Case Cover. It fits the Kindle Paperwhite perfectly, looks good and provides excellent protection for everyday use. I keep my Kindle in my backpack, and the case held up pretty well in the 17 months that I had it. Though the case is great, what really impressed me was the terrific customer service I got from OMOTON. A few months ago, I noticed that a piece of vinyl trim around the edge of the cover started to peel off. I pulled the piece off and didn’t think anything of it. Pretty soon more of the trim was coming off until almost all of it had peeled off. Some of the material on the cover was also starting to come off. The case still functioned well, but it didn’t look very good. I read in the product description on Amazon that the case had a lifetime warranty. so I decided to email OMOTON. It was the Sunday before the Fourth of July, and I expected that I would get a reply from the company later in the week. To my surprise, I got a reply that night from Monica in customer service. She asked me to describe the problem and send photos of the case. In her email, Monica was sympathetic and apologized for any inconvenience that may have been caused. She emailed me the next day (on the Fourth of July) letting me know that after reviewing the photos, they would replace the case for free. The case was shipped July 5 and I received it a couple days later. I am very happy with my experience with OMOTON. They stood behind their product and responded quickly and courteously. Omoton asked that I review the product and since I like the case so much I felt it was the least I could do. Just to clarify: I bought the product on my own but Omoton asked me to add a review. I'm a physical book kind of person but didn't like reading on my tablet, so I decided to try out a dedicated e-reader (Kindle Paperwhite) and I needed a case sturdy enough to protect the screen (while the reader is stowed away in my backpack) but light enough not to be heavy in my hands after just a short while. I literally entered "best kindle case" in a search engine (you can guess which one) and the first result was a website that tested several cases according to various criteria and the Omoton case was highly recommended. I liked that it was sturdy, light, and that opening or shutting the case would turn the Kindle on and off (an option I didn't know it had so hadn't even considered). The price was extremely reasonable so I bought it at the same time as the Kindle. It's been two months and I really like reading on the Kindle and the Omoton case is exactly as expected: protects the screen, it isn't heavy, and I don't have to push the on/off button on the device since the magnets do all the work. I have an iPad mini and the magnet on/off feature of the case cover is very convenient, so it's great to have it on this Kindle case too. It's also pretty sleek and stylish. (The case on my iPad mini still works but the cover came apart due to the fancy piping breaking away---that can't happen with this Kindle case so that's pretty great in itself.) The only very small con of the case is due to my idiosyncratic way of wanting to hold the Kindle itself: in one hand. The Kindle margins aren't too big so my thumbs can't grip much space without accidentally touching the screen and inadvertently turning the page. I can "palm" the device in one hand but with the case cover flipped open against the back it makes gripping it all a little uncomfortable in one hand or awkward in the other. If they could make a notebook style flip up cover that'd be great, but really this is a matter of adding 0.01% to the 99.99% satisfaction I already have. In summary: it's a great cover at a really really great price. Omoton makes a similar case for another brand of e-reader I'm thinking of buying (to read the file types Kindle doesn't) and if I do get it, I'll definitely buy the case from them as well.

OMOTON product quality has gone down significantly as the last one lasted me 3 years and this one within couple of weeks got brittle and loose. Now my Kindle moves and slips inside the case. Not even worth 500 as the local cases are nowadays of better quality.

The features of this cover are as specified, including auto on off with opening, magnetic latch, microfibre liner, and durable cover flap. There are a number of reviews that indicate that the product had a strong and oddly fish like odour. This appears to have been addressed by the manufacturer, as only a faint plastic aroma was noticeable on unpacking, and this dissipated within seconds. The product has a good texture that makes it easy to grip one handed. The product does not add appreciable weight to the kindle device. overall it does its job well at approximately a fifth the price of the amazon genuine product, which is covered with cheap poor quality leather that does not stand up to wear and tear particularly well.

A fine addition to protect your Kindle Reader. Not as durable in the long run, however. It cracked some at the point where it clasps a shade over a year of daily use.
