I got my first copy of this book shortly after starting to play. It was given to me by my private teacher at the time. It is the only method book that I know of that has fingering charts for BB♭, CC and E♭ tubas. Written by probably the greatest tubaist of all times, William J. Bell. There is a unique photo of Mr. Bell with an E♭ full-wrap four valve sousaphone (you rarely ever see an E♭sousaphone or one with four valves particularly a full-wrap E♭ sousaphone).This is an all-round method book for any tubaist, beginner or professional. It covers most all musical technic needed.My first copy cost $3.50 and had just been marked up from $3.00 which should say how long I have been using this book. I am on my third copy now (the first one wore out and the second was in a briefcase that was stolen).I would recommend taking this book to a printshop and have a comb binding installed (so it will lay flat on your music stand).
