Gobel Nonstick Deep Savarin Mold, 9.75 Inch, Made in France

If you’ve ever suffered through using your grandmothers food molds where you never know what you’re gonna get when you flip it over, purchase this and wonder no more.I have a specific blue cheese ring I make to serve with crackers. It’s the perfect size and the center hole fills nicely with black olives for a gorgeous presentation.

I plan to use this for holiday baking. Pleased with this product.

Nice sturdy pan for my flan. Perfect size. I’m getting some delicious flan that my family loves.

Saw this style pan while watching Nigella Lawson prepare her Lemon Yogurt Cake recipe on “Nigellisma”. Purchased both this pan and book, titled the same, “Nigellisima”. Cake came out perfect and was extremely tasty. Pan performed excellently, no sticking, washed easily, cake removed easily.

This was just what I needed for my Baba au Rhum. The pan is perfect, but it arrived covered with some kind of sticky substance (manufacturing mold release?). Soap and water did not clean it. Nor did alcohol. Acetone was the ticket. I’ll bet mineral spirits would work, too. It would have been nice to have some advice on this.

The pan was perfect for making a snake shaped cake for grandson. I creased it prior to filling with batter and it worked out fine. It's easy to clean as well.

Gobel makes some of the best pans for baking, and this is a fine example of such craftsmanship using just basic materials and without any coatings. I use this Savarin mold pan for many baked goods including morning rolls (as pictured). They don't stick, even without any chemical coatings. It is a bit pricey as with other pans made in France, but I think it is worth it as items such this lasts a long time or even a lifetime. Recommended.

I have been looking for a mold like this. It reminds me of the one my Grandmother and Mother used for all their jello molds. This is perfect for my jello molds using my Mothers receipes.
