Perfect for Henry 22lr
Updated the scope on my Henry H001. Height over bore is approx. 1.625" and I can access the hammer and clear the rear sight. . The V-Plex reticle is perfect for a 22lr. Simple and clean. . The Vortex image is very crisp and clear up to 4x or 5x. The eye box is also very forgiving. Beyond 5x, the clarity starts to diminish and the eye box gets tight and easily lost at 7x. Rather than go dark, the sight picture turns white and foggy. Realistically, you would only use the 7x for zeroing. 4x is just fine for real-world magnified use on a 22lr IMHO. . The controls feel smooth and just the right resistance. The turrets are good, especially being set and forget with a 50-yard zero for optimum point blank range out to 70 yards. . For the price, the Vortex Crossfire II 2-7 for rimfire is excellent value especially with the awesome Vortex VIP warranty and the Made in the Philippines sticker. I can recommend it.

Vortex Optics Crossfire II Second Focal Plane, 1 - inch Tube Riflescopes
Excellent scope with fixed parallax at 100 yards. Clear lenses, nice, precise radicals. Absolutely worth of buying. How ever it doesn't work for me, reason being, I need it on my break barrel air gun rifle and all my targets are 30 - 50 yards. I'm not returning this Scope, I might need it for other rifle I have.

Very clear glass
Not top of the line, but nowhere near the bottom either. Really good glass quality, will be buying again. I have bought a few of the "sniper" cheap azz scopes, but never again. This is a very good scope for the price. Holds zero very well, eye relief is great once set up. I have a nikon scope about the same price, but is nowhere near the quality of this one.

Amazing Warranty - Best Bang For The Buck
Comparing this Vortex to other scopes in the same general price range: - glass is generally clearer - reticle is crisp - love the duplex dot - adjustments are accurate and consistient - looks and feels like a quality optic It will not replace a $3000.00 scope, but it is highly functional for a hunting rifle that will suffer abuse in the field. If I were being picky I would like the windage and elevation adjustments to be a little crisper and maybe even with an audible "click" I did have to use the warranty, completely my fault.....I changed from a QD mount to Vortec Pro Rings and in a rush did not use my torque screwdriver. I overtightened the rings substantially which bent the scope tube. This effected the windage adjustment and made the elevation inconsistient (impact intermittently moved between two points about 2.5" apart). I emailed Vortex, they sent me pre-paid postage to return the scope and within 7 days sent me a brand new scope. Their technician noted the bent scope tube was the problem and expressed the importance of properly torqing scope rings ...which I needed to hear. No one wants to use a warranty....however if you need it, even if you caused the problem, Vortex makes the process a pleasurable experience and truely follows their word without gimmicks and deception. They straight up fix or replace efficiently and without costing you a dime. You just will not find better customer service out there. I would put this scope right near, if not at the top, of budget scopes $300 and under in its own right. The no-fault warranty and amazing customer service are in a class by themselves.

Right in between 3 and 4 stars.
Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of Vortex Optics. I ordered this optic to place on one of my Ar builds. For the price it was just what I was looking for to hold me over for a while till the new optic I wanted was released. I also purchased the Nikon p223 mount for this optic. I mounted the optic to my rifle and took it out to the range. I was happy to find that the optic was pretty dang close to being zeroed in at 100 yards. I removed the caps and dialed in to a true center shot . It took me about 7 rounds to find the sweet spot. At 100 yards this optic is great, I used it at the 3x magnification. I then started to try out the BDC reticle and the additional zoom. I will say the BDC did work quite well. The zoom however was not the best. Up to 5x it was still pretty clear and the image was enhanced. It made my 200 yard shots pretty simple. The 6x started to get a little fuzzy around the edges but the center of the optic was still nice and crisp. At 7x the surrounding gets a bit blurry and distorted. The center is a little smaller but still pretty clean. Tho it is a bit harder to get your eye in the right relief zone. For the price this really is a great optic. It holds true after hundreds of rounds and works great for the 100-300 yard shots. Once you start to go above that and are using more magnification it starts to get a little blurry. I think I paid $125 for this optic so I am by no means complaining. In fact it is probably one of the better options at that price. If you are looking for an optic for consistent 100 yard shot groupings using a bench, this optic is great. If you are looking for something you can be a little more tactical with and need quick image acquisition I would say you need to step up to a higher end optic. Tho at this price and with the amazing customer support and warranty from vortex you really can not go wrong with it. I hope this was a helpful review in making your decision !

Vortex 4×12×44
Great scope. 4 small adjustments and I was hitting bullseye. Sure you can buy a better scope for alot more money. But for hunting 250 or 300 yards you can't go wrong with this scope. Plus the glass is very clear.

The scope was purchased to replace a Walther, used for pest control with a CO2 rifle on private property, my typical working distance is from 15-80mtr. This new Crossfire ii has not been fitted and zeroed yet (purchased rings won't fit the rail), so I am reviewing the general usability and feel, whilst highlighting limitations such as minimum working distance, which is fine for live round rifles, but is more than required by CO2 or air rifles. This scope feels sturdy, The reticle adjustment works to get a crisp view of the reticle and it's illuminated red dot at the reticle centre (not projected to target), this will be welcome as light levels fall, although it is a little less bright than I would have hoped. Elevation & windage adjusters have a light/subtle touch without loud clicks. The image is bright and sharp at distances over 100mtr but lacking an adjustable objective lens or parallax adjustment leads to greater blurring as subject range gets closer, or when using higher magnifications; it may become more usable at close distances by using lowest magnification(3x), although this could lead to eye straining. A similar scope with parallax adjustment would be considerably more expensive, Scopes can be adjusted by service centres to bring the minimum focus nearer "Re-Parallaxing" (probably a turn or two of the objective lens). I'll consider this but it may invalidate warranty, in which case I will return the item unused. This review will be updated after checking if it can be adjusted to bring it within the working range of a CO2 rifle and after test firing. April 2021- Still works well, helps to achieve tight groups and holds it's settings. Focus was brought closer by adjusting the objective lens with a suitable tool.
