Hail pattern Hanten (Cotton jacket made in Japan Kimono-style) Men's

I bought this for our 19 year old for Christmas 2024. It wasn't cheap - $130 - but well worth it. This version of a Hantan has pockets, which was a must. This is a half jacket, so it goes slightly below the waist. It's great for lounging around the house. The cotton is breathable, which is also important. The instructions say to only wash annually....we'll see what happens when it's washed!

I'm 6'2 240 lbs and the XL size fit is just perfect all around. Surprisingly warm for how light it feels. The material feels very nice against my skin. The outer fabric has a slight texture inline with the hail design that I didn't notice in the pics. In person it is subtle, but is a nice detail. Overall the construction is top notch and seems like it'll last for years of regular use. Only took a week to arrive in the US once it shipped.

I received this item promptly, a few days after I ordered it. The design is traditional and beautiful. It is warm, but not suffocating. Every morning, I wake up really early before the sun comes up to work, and this Hanten is a great companion. I imagine that I could wear it for years. Unlike most clothing that is made today, this Hanten is made with excellent craftsmanship. I feel great about this purchase, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from this seller in the future. For reference, I am 5'6 (167 cm) and weigh 115 pounds. It falls near my knees. It is slightly larger than expected, but I prefer it that way.

I was hesitant to pull the trigger on this hanten because I just wasn't sure what the quality would be or if it would be as soft and cozy as others said, but it is AMAZING. Wrapping yourself up in it is like being hugged. I love sitting on the couch while wearing it and working on the laptop. Shipping was WAY faster than I thought, even with pandemic times. The pockets are super deep and fit my phone easily. It's very sturdy and well made and will definitely last. If you were hesitating, don't! Get it and get cozy!

I really love the Hanten that was offered and delivered to me in such a prompt manner. I bought it large so I can wear a sweater under it if need be [I am a 5' 10", 150lb woman]. It is very, very warm, comfortable and well crafted, the length comes a little past my upper thigh. There are cleaning instructions which come with the hanten and they recommend hand washing in order to prevent possible damage from using a machine. It makes it more difficult obviously to clean, but it is an item stated as being something one wears inside, and only for the season so it should not need to be cleaned but just once a year. I was glad they included these specific instructions. I'm very happy with my purchase! :)

Well, Winter hasn't completely passed here, so I'm still wearing it while I type this. I bought the men's as I'm quite a tall woman and most asian women's wear is too small for me. The design is refined, quality is great. Cotton soft and thick enough to keep me warm. Would buy again, gift to others.

Love it, great navy color and patterns. Only thing, just a little snug in the shoulders. Wish they made another extra larger size.
