Nice foundation
I had been using bare minerals, but couldn't find my color so I decided to give this one a shot. My skin is pretty good, so I don't need a thick liquid foundation. I just want some mineral powder to even out the color a bit and I'm good to go. I don't like messing with the loose powder because it just seems to make a mess everywhere. These compacts are perfect. I was able to choose a color based on their descriptions on Amazon and it is spot on for me. If you are unsure what your skin tone and its undertone is, there are many web sites that tell you how to figure it out. Using those instructions you can't go wrong. The powder goes on smoothly and gives good coverage. It is easy to apply with a nice big brush and it gives you a natural look, which is great! I will probably buy another one to keep in my travel bag. I highly recommend!

Great powder foundation
I’m very happy with this product. It provides natural and buildable coverage for a powder foundation. It doesn’t sit in lines nor look cakey. I tend to have dry patches and it never emphasizes it so long as I moisturize and prime. Only thing that I didn’t like is the skin tone matching. It’s hard to tell what will work with your skin tone and I got lucky.

New favorite
My pressed base broke and went everywhere so I needed something quick and easy to get so I ordered this. I figured I’d use it until I was able to get my higher end normal base but I LOVE this one more! It covers great and stays on my oily skin longer. Also not important for most but is for me, I love this compact, it’s thick and strong.

Ended up loving it
For reference I ordered the color light, I am 31 years old, oily/combo skin, freckles and fair neutral skin. I have both pink and yellow tones in my skin. I took a wild guess ordering the color light and it blends well with my fair skin! I posted a few pictures, sorry the lighting isn’t great but I figured it was better than nothing. My hands are a little red in the pictures because it’s been cold outside. In the picture I am wearing one light layer of this foundation only. I am typically one of the fairest shades in most foundations sold. If you go to the PUR site they have a color matching tool both by matching from another foundation shade you have used (what I used) or also by a virtual try on. I also searched YouTube videos and googled pictures of the shade light to see if it would match. Now on to what I think about the actual foundation. When I first tried on the foundation I must say I wasn’t overly impressed. Like I mentioned I have freckles and I am used to a more full coverage foundation. The coverage is pretty light (on initial try on) and I didn’t think it was doing much at first. I’m not used to powder foundation. I wanted to try a mineral foundation because I’ve been having hormonal breakouts and I thought it may help. So I gave the foundation another few chances with a different more dense flat top foundation brush and also I put on two layers. I ended up really liking the coverage that way. I’ve used it with and without foundation primer. I like it with the bare minerals primer. When comparing this to bare minerals I like them both. I feel like bare minerals has more coverage with one layer. With the PUR I have to build it up more for coverage, but I don’t have an issue with that. In bare minerals I’ve worn both the shades fairly light and golden fair. This PUR is way more convenient and less messy than bare minerals. It does really well with my oily/combo skin type. It looks natural and overall very flattering. With any powder foundation I have to make sure my peach fuzz on my face is removed. That’s just me. I don’t think powder foundation looks flattering on me with peach fuzz on my face. All it takes is a little nair, no big deal. I am a mom of toddlers and this powder foundation is fast and easy when you get the hang of it. I love the idea of mineral foundation. I have noticed my skin has gotten better since wearing it every day in comparison to heavy liquid foundation. If coverage is what you are after I would suggest a dense flat top foundation brush or beauty sponge. Real techniques makes a great powder foundation sponge that I love and it gives great coverage with this foundation. I never thought I would be converted to mineral powder foundation after using liquid for so long but I absolutely love it. It feels so light and nice on your skin in comparison to heavy liquid. It also looks natural. I would describe the finish as a natural semi-matte or stain finish. It’s not overly matte and flat. It doesn’t make my skin oily which is a big thing for me because I have an oily t-zone. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because I feel like this foundation claims to have great coverage, but in actuality you have to build it up to get more full coverage. My favorite thing about this foundation is I can throw it in my bag if I’m running late along with a powder brush and throw it on in the car really easily. This is essential for me as a busy mom! Most days I put this foundation on that way and hardly even look in the mirror at what I’m doing. Lol!

Like my skin but better
TLDR, this foundation provides a boost to your natural skin without that foundation feeling. Think your skin but better... less red and more even, zits are less noticable but not invisible, pores exist but aren't highlighted and are slightly "blurred"(Though I highly recommend reading the full review obviously)This review is to help you decide if it's right for you, I'm going to be honest and thorough because I find those reviews most helpful, even if that means sharing unflattering pics lolThe pictures include one front facing camera, and the rest are rear facing WITH FLASH so you can see how it sits on skin texture, take. Roughly 4hrs after application. While no one wants to post unflattering pics of themselves, I think it's important to accurately portray how the product works. When looking at me in real life, it looks like the front facing camera shot, but as with any foundation it looks very different under bright unflattering light or when you examine it closely in a mirror. I thought it was important to include both.So onto the review. This is a lightweight, sheer coverage, buildable, powder foundation.Pros- lightweight, as in I literally can't feel it on my skin- buildable- doesn't cling to dry patches- doesn't highlight the large pores near my nose- can be used on it's own, as a setting powder, or even as a foundation with spot coverage using concealer or foundation for a more natural sheer look while still covering "problem" spots.- doesn't get that weird separation in oily areas that can happen with some foundations.- doesn't irritate my sensitive skin- long lasting, still look good at the end of the day- while it's not waterproof, you can go out in the rain or workout without it all coming offCons (or at least things some might not like)- it's sheer, while buildable you'll never reach full coverage with just this powder.- it's pressed powder, many prefer loose powder as it's more finely milled. I will say this is verrrrry finely milled for a pressed powder though- the shade range isn't fantastic, though if you're pale you're in luck- it's somewhere between a matte and satin. While more "dewy" than most powders, it's still a powder foundation and won't give you that wet glass dewy lookFor reference, I don't use primer and I did not use foundation or concealer under it for more coverage. I am having a flare up with my skin (hormones, not a reaction to the powder) so I have a few zits and red patches, but I figured this was a good time to make the review so others with these problems can see what kind of coverage to expect. I ordered shade light porcelain as I'm very pale. It's a good match for me, other brands that match well for me for comparison.... Wet n wild photofocus in soft ivory, wet n wild cushion foundation in porcelain, hard candy glamoflauge in vanilla, and I believe I used porcelain in Maybelline fit me.
