looks nice and seems sturdy, once you get it installed
First, I would not recommend these unless you are at least somewhat handy at building things and can improvise. There are no instructions. The Honda instructions are close (you can google them), but ask for stuff like spacers, which are not in this kit and you sorta just figure out how the extra pieces go on there. they do make one set of bags blue and one clear to separate the left parts from the right parts. for mine, I think the clear were for the right side (passenger). the cutting marks are the same as the Honda version, though, so that was good. For assembly, I had a similar experience as nairdie81. The drivers side bolt holes lined up, but I had to kind of bend it into place a little. the passenger side didn't need bending, but he holes don't line up. I just used a drill and wallowed out the holes a little on the front and the back, and that seemed to work. Once you assemble one side, the other goes much faster, but all in all, it took me about 3 hours, mostly because I was having trouble finding the "right" tool to cut the existing trim. A hacksaw worked best for me. I tried tin snips, like a video I found online, but mine were too small and smashed the trim too much. the hacksaw was cleaner and no smashing.Unfortunately, when I got to the end, I was missing a screw that holds on one of the covers that goes over the end. I dug a spare one up out of my spare screw bin, until I can get one from Vanguard (I hope they send me one so the color and metal type matches).Once it's done, I think it looks nice and the price is much less than Honda's OEM (and will not be like everyone else's). We're going to use them on a trip soon and will report back on how it went.

It doesn’t fit!! Unless you don’t mind making a very, very minor adjust. Otherwise, don’t purchase.
I Ordered this product for my upcoming camping trip. Received it in a couple of days(6/21) and due to my work schedule, I didn’t get to install it until the following week(6/25).I Installed the driver side rail with no issues. I get to the passenger side rail and did all trimming of rain guards and....the bolt holes on the rails didn’t line up on the actual bolt on the roof of the van. Totally disappointed. Got amazon to send a replacement thinking maybe it’s a quality control issue..received the replacement on 6/27 and what do you know... still had the same issue. I contacted amazon ASAP and tried to get another replacement and since It’s already a replacement, they can’t send me another one. I was a hair close of sending it back and trying my luck with something else..risking that it wasn’t going to get here in time for my trip...until I kinda used my brain and made some adjustment to the rail. It worked!!! Had to remove 2 screws that holds the rail and the bolt assembly, tries to shimmy it out by a few mm and was able to line it up. The only problem is it had a gap that you can see when you’re close to the vehicle...and since I extended it, the OEM cross bars might not fit or match the holes on the rails. Luckily, I used an aftermarket cross bars. That I also purchased through amazon. I will try to see if the manufacturer will fix this issue..so unless you are prepared to make adjustment or they fix this issue, stay away from this product. On a positive note, Amazon issued me a 20% discount refund for the inconvenience.Hopefully the manufacturer reads this review and fixes the issue. Here are my PROS:First off, I like the price for it being aluminum. It’s about $100(or more) less than the OEM Honda part that’s stainless. And CONS:It Didn’t come with instructions but it’s “OEM style” so I planned on just going to college hills Honda but fortunately, carid.com had the instructions as well(which is exactly the same as Honda’s instructions). The rubber stays are not labeled so it’s kinda confusing as to which part it goes. The rail itself is not labeled on which side it goes to.Actually, nothing is labeled. It is missing a part(2 spacers)The most disappointing part of this product didn’t fit on the passenger side rail. The holes for the bolts didn’t line up..it was off my maybe a few mm.I will try to update if the manufacturer fixes this issue.

Worth the money Installed on 2020 odyssey
I also had an issue with the driver site not fitting right. Other than that these look great and are fairly easy to install. I did not use a hacksaw to cut the trim. I put a cutoff wheel on an angle grinder and cut the trim to length. On the left side when installing the rail just push down on the rail in the center and it will pop right on. I did have to drill the hole a little larger on just the second hold from the front on the rail so the nut/bolt can slide in. Right side went on easy. Love the look and would recommend. Just need hold your mouth right to get driver side on.

Get ready to 'make it work'.
Good value-if you're handy. As others have said, the fit is not perfect. I had to elongate the mounting holes on both sides. I attached the front first and made the back work. It wasn't overly hard but I had to sit on the rails to get enough down pressure to install the center mount screws to the guard rail. The retailer was very responsive to an initial problem which was the drivers side had a broken and missing front mount. Not sure how a quality control check could miss that...I used online Honda instructions and online videos.Once installed, it's very sturdy.

Great value for brushed aluminum look, but Definately not perfect.
This item is not precisely made. As other reviewers mention, the left rail is slightly too short which makes it Very ANNOYING to install. It took me over an hour to install the left side and less than 30 minutes on the right simply because the rail is the right size.Once on, The fit is good, but Definately not perfect. It doesn't sit perfectly flush with the van and the plastic trim pieces have quite a bit of give.My kit came with absolutely no instructions and the color coded bags were not consistent for each side. Additionally, my kit was missing one bolt, which was super frustrating. This isn't the kind of project you want to start one day and finish another. I like the silver look, but it's not chrome like the rest of the accents on the van. So, unless youre up for a challenge, it might be better to go with a Honda part.
