nice and strong brass push stoppers
The package was simple. Some fell out of the packaging, but were not damaged. Thereโs no instructions, but it was easy enough to follow or look up installation for a new drain ( which is what I did) The spring feels sturdy and the parts are all brass metal except for the part encapsulating the spring โpushโ mechanism. It is not flushed to the tub as I had hoped, but Iโm okay with that. Just as long as it can withstand the wear. The water here is pretty hard, and the ones I had on had a lot of mineral deposits, but Iโm not sure how long it has been since the Previous owner had it. The brushed nickel color is nice as well. I purchased 4 to replace all my tubs at home.

Easy Replacement for DIY enthusiasts...
I am not a plumber, but after watching several DIY videos, I decided to do this replacement myself. The written directions that come with the product are straightforward. You may prefer the tub drain remover tool in order to complete this job (I do not trust the hacks shown in some DIY videos). I therefore elected to order a tub drain remover wrench (under $10) from Amazon along with Plumber's Putty. I did opt to use putty instead of the provided rubber seal. After watching the directions given by numerous plumbers in their videos, I was able to remove the old plug and install the new one without issue. One of the best features of this device is the fact you use your foot to open or close the drain while standing. It certainly beats my old one. It had to be opened and closed by hand.

Looks great! Easy installation!
I know anytime you think about doing a project like this, it always seems to be more difficult than you thought. However, I replaced the tub spout, overflow cover and the toe-tap drain without incident. I consider myself somewhat handy, but this really was pretty easy. The quality of the toe-tap drain was great, as expected. If you are thinking of doing a project like this, go to youtube and watch a couple of videos. You'll see just how simple it is! I'm very pleased with the final result!

Looks and works well, But...
This brushed nickel model is very sturdy and well made. It looks great (for now) and seals very well. BUT, the problem for me is, if I push down on the plug with water in the tub, I can not get it to seal again! I did this my accident and had to completely drain the tub after only having it filled for 5 minuets. Again, if I did not push it down, the seal would have kept the water in the tub until I was ready to get out, and then drain the water out. So if it did not do this, I would have given 5 stars. Maybe if I replace with a rubber gasket that is thicker (like the Denco brand people are talking about) it may work 100%?!?

Quality piece, very heavy duty
The cross hair on the current tub drain broke apart when I tried to remove it from the drain. This drain is made of much better materials. Just comparing even the weight between the old and new, this new one is twice the weight. It is constructed of good metal instead of the cheap lightweight version we had that wasn't real brass. Bottom line, this is the drain you want to buy!

Looks great and works perfectly
Really happy with this drain. The brushed nickel finish looks awesome and matches my bathroom hardware. Installation was simple, and it feels solid. No issues at all.

Perfect fitment for our Bootz tub
Was a breeze to install. Made our tub look like-new again. Total time to remove old and replace new was about 45 minutes. I definitely recommend you get a compatible drain wrench rather than messing around with improper tools. Very good seal and easy to operate with your foot.

Gasket issues.
Generally an okay product the life of the rubber gasket is quite short. The thing should come with replacements and then... very good.... but it does not.
