I ain't even gonna lie, I thought this was going to be a cheap little set, but this was a great gift to myself. Everything inside is higher end than I expected so thats cool. The only thing I didnt like is that it came with only TWO regular band-aids... I'd recommend getting compression bandages as well with this. But other than that I feel my bug-out bag is complete!!!

The kit contains several very useful tools including a good knife, a great spork/opener, good pen/pointy thing. fire starter, filter straw and more. This is not a complete kit but each of the pieces are well designed and seem sturdy.One note about the flashlight - the case is WAY too big for a AA battery! am guessing it is sized for a 18500 (slightly larger rechargeable)Battery Dia LengthAA 14 5318500 18 50That said you can easily adapt it to use AA batteries. I wrapped one layer of Moleskin around it and it fit perfectly. Extra bonus is which you want to have Moleskin around and it will be safe and dry in the flashlight)

This was the perfect gift for my son. He really enjoyed opening it, going through and seeing each item. He said it was good quality and imagined how he would utilize each implement. The battery in the flashlight fits really loose, we thought it was missing a part. It actually works so don’t be confused like we were. It takes a AA. Overall it’s a win. Two whistles that aren’t super loud, one goes on your key ring, but they do the trick. We recommend, to be prepared!

Bought this survival kit a week ago and love it! It has everything I would need in a basic survival situation. I like that the tools appear to be made of strong material. It’s also much cheaper than buying a lot of these various items separately. The water straw is especially nice and is as good as other life straws I have bought in the past. Very happy with this purchase.

This kit has many little essential tools and more that you'd need for the outdoors. I also appreciate the guide that came with the kit. It was clearly written and helpfully labeled to help any newbie, just as myself. This kit fits nicely in my bag and doesn't take up too much space (the space it does take up is definitely worth it though). The tools and everything are good quality and I see myself using everything in this kit.

I do plenty of camping and hiking. I seen this and had to try it out. As a personal survivalist this was an amazing find. Loaded with plenty of survival items!

Overall it's a good kit for the money, but the case is super cheap but I expected that. What I didn't expect was a knife that won't lock open. So unless I want to take the knife apart and machine down the locking mechanism, it's going right in the trash.The rest of the kit is pretty solid, but be prepared to buy a better knife and a good waterproof case if you really want to use this in any kind of survival/camping situation.
