I had no idea what to get for my grandson's graduation, then I saw this compass. My grandson loved it and I also had it engraved, so it will be something that he will always have from me.

Very attractive, high quality, and sturdy. Exactly as described in the description. The pointer stop is a great feature and will extend the life of the compass. The engraving is well done, clear to read, and a good font size. I purchased this for my grandson's graduation and I am sure that he will be very pleased. A compass may help to guide him through his life, perhaps less wrong turns , and perhaps less poor decisions

Love it! 18 year old grandson will love it. He wanted a compass for Christmas so this one gives him a message and I know he will think of his grandparents when using it. Has a nice belt clip too. Great gift for the outdoors- type person (any age) or just anyone who likes to learn how to use a compass.

Useless
The compass pointer just spun and wobbled around and around without stopping to point to a direction to get your bearings. It didn’t matter how you held it. Flat and level, upwards to the sky or at arms length. While the presentation is lovely and sentimental, the quality of the brass casing is poor. Tarnished to make it look old and the lid was very stiff to open.
