They stay on IF they are the correct size!
I initially purchased a size extra small short. I put the dog breed in sizing but our baby is a toy poodle mix, but the other half is a toy breed also. I was very excited to try them , however, they would not stay on and I couldn’t make them any bigger with the adjustment straps on top. Literally they were extended all the way out and our little boy’s feet would not stay inside the boots. I thought maybe the extra small tall would allow me to tighten or adjust as needed. The extra small tall boots were delivered and I was so excited to try them. Your dog has to be still during the initial sizing. Once you adjust them, and if they stay on, there’s no need to change anything. I can honestly say that our little boy looks forward to putting his boots on, AND…his feet have stayed inside his boots EVERY TIME!!!I have purchased a few different boots and invariably he would loose boots every time. I almost lost all hope that there would be a boot for dogs that stay on. I will continue to support this company as long as they continue to develop a much needed product!!!I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!

Don’t work
Too late to return, but these are not working for my dog. They keep stretching and I tighten it to the point it’s too tight on her back. As she walks the back boots come off. She has very small legs. I even went and bought socks to help and it does not. They are cute and a great idea, but didn’t work for my dog.

Good idea, Just not Design Perfect.
I needed paw protection against sidewalk heat and sand spurs. Great idea! Like idiot mittens for dog boots!! Watched a bunch of you tubes and tried twice with adjustments. I really wanted these to work but they didn't.Maybe its because I am not hiding the bunched up fabric on the dog's back under a dog sweater. Connecting the ring to the collar pulled too much on the collar and without it, the Walkee Paws slid down her back. It was not fun.The tights have to be taunt so the dog doesn't step out of them. I ended up cutting and sewing them criss-cross at the proper length and attaching a piece of elastic across the chest to avoid attaching anything to her collar.Looks really cute, like camo overalls. Comfortable for the dog and easy to put on without further fussing withadjustments. Unfortunately, being tailor-made for my dog does not sell to the masses.Walkee Paws material is medium weight stretchy material with medium weight rubber booties. Good idea, just not design perfect.

boots fall off if you don't use self sticking stretchy tape
My dog is 11 lbs. The adjustable strap is easy to set and stays in place holding the tension when dry. I like how easy it is to put the boots on each paw. Way easier than boot socks. My pup has her dew claws so the simple boot socks take a long time to get on. That wasn't an issue with this boot system. The back strap helps to hold them on, but stretches out a bit when wet so the boots fail to stay on. I used the self sticking stretchy bandage tape to wrap snugly around each leg starting at the boot and continuing to wrap up each leg. The tape worked well. Then I used electrical tape to secure the strip edge from unwrapping. I then put on a long legged snowsuit. For one, the snowsuit helped to keep her from chewing off the tape. And since she is a schnauzer, the snowsuit kept her fur on her legs, underbelly, and in her front leg pits from gathering and building up large ice balls in her hair/fur which were impossible to take off without cutting or melting. We went x-country skiing for 5 miles round trip. There was 4" fresh snow on a packed base. The boots were a success. One week later we went on another 5 mile roundtrip ski. The snow was much deeper in places and the trail wasn't packed down. The boot sock/sling material got much wetter and stretched out more. So we had to stop and re-tape the boots as one started to fall off. Towards the end of the trail, another boot fell off so I just put her in my backpack for the last half mile out. I am glad we had this option to fall back on. It's a bit crazy to take such a small dog out on trails. I wouldn't go any further than this in fresh unpacked snow. My dog is in good phsy condition as we hike almost everyday - tho not in daily snow at all. I also had to cut off her schnauzer beard and eyebrows because she insists on rubbing her face in the snow and the snow collected in her beard and eyebrows and rendered her blind. It was impossible to remove the packed in snow without an emergency and rough hair cut with a tiny swiss army knife scissor. The boots do work when secured in place with the self sticking stretchy tape and kept her paws from building up impacted ice balls. My friend's dog is a schnoodle and had the snow sock booties. The booties only stayed on with the tape I described above. So you could save a lot of $ by getting the snow sock booties. And I like that these boots are much easier to put on.

Doesn’t stay on
The product fit well and I like the feet, but it doesn’t stay on. I have a 10 lb minpin who has grass allergies during the rainy season. I only need her to wear them when she goes potty in the backyard. I’ve tried placing the buckle in different spots on her back and tried different combos of tension. If I find the sweet spot where the knot should be, it gradually shifts as she walks and then one foot will get loose and the whole thing comes off. I’ve noticed that the stretch is almost too much, so any moment of looseness makes the whole thing come off. Attaching it to a collar would be too much strain on the throat. I wanted it to work. The idea is good, the size is good, but maybe the materials are the issue. It does seem like a lot of the brand’s pictures/videos have dogs with longer fur. Maybe that helps the product stay on better. Still trying to find the right shoes.
