Whatever your needs, Luna reveals the shocking secrets that private detectives and other seekers of personal information use to uncover information and then shows how to make a serious commitment to safeguarding yourself. There is a prevailing sense in our society that true privacy is a thing of the past. In a world where privacy concerns that only continue to grow in magnitude, How to Be Invisible, Third Edition is a critical antidote to the spread of new and more efficient ways of undermining our personal security. Privacy is a commonly-lamented casualty of the Information Age and of the world's changing climate--but that doesn't mean you have to stand for it. This new edition of J. J. Luna's classic manual contains step-by-step advice on building and maintaining your personal security, including brand new chapters on: - The dangers from Facebook, smartphones, and facial recognition - How to locate a nominee (or proxy) you can trust- - The art of pretexting, aka social engineering - Moving to Baja California Sur; San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato; Cuenca, Ecuador; or Spain's Canary Islands - The secrets of international privacy, and much more! Review: My personal FAVORITE. Best book on Privacy, so far. - AMAZING BOOK! I had the old PDF version but did NOT know there was already a THIRD EDITION! Anyways, good to know now. I had been reading the first version haha. Anyways, the bookcase perfect! Mint condition, beautiful blue hard cover and the art cover was intact and mint condition as well. VERY GREAT information here involving personal stories from JJ Luna’s Clients. He’s extremely informative, and suggests to steer away from using this information as a way to do illegal things HOWEVER I to just mention to AVOID using this book for illegal reasons. The book basically shows you how to be a Law Aboding Citizen. Basically finding the loopholes in the government, and playing by their own standards yet still remaining invisible. It’s an amazing contradictory but purchase this book here and you will NEVER regret it. Remember, a LIBRARY, is not to have and read ALL the books to brag of, it’s to BUILD a Library to have Acess to Information at any moment you desire. Like your iPod and music, you don’t listen to the ALL songs you have in 1 day. It’s there, when you need it. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND getting this book to teach you about Peovacy, why it’s important, and help you realize what your actually giving away when we all deserve and have the right to a Private lifestyle. This is not for the paranoid, it actually has real cases that have happened to people and it’s NOT a fear tactic. Take it all with your own judgement, it’s NOT meant to bring you fear, just brings you awareness, and the ability to take preventative measures. Good for protecting your family too. Review: Layers of Security - It is amazing how I can find all kinds of information about my attorney, my doctor and just about anyone. One day, I looked out my window and saw someone going through my mailbox and since then have had a P.O. Box and a locking mailbox at the home base. When I buy my new home, there will not even be a mailbox! Or numbers on the house... or in my name or the name of my Trust. Going to start a New Mexico LLC for each purchase to keep my private life private. Left Facebook in 2012 because well, it's stupid. It gives others permission to stalk you, plus you waste time saying, "Happy Birthday" to strangers who do not say it back when it is your big day. They get your photos and all details best left private. Some of us don't need "likes" or to be show off narcicists. How to be Invisible is packed with fabulous information in this third edition. I love anything about privacy and practice it all the time. JJ Luna and Senorita Rosie rock. Anyone in business needs this book and to batton down the hatches better! You don't have to have a stalker or a bad guy after you to read the book and follow the rules. Just in case, then you have PYA. If you are careful and don't get yourself in trouble with a lawsuit or traffic issues, then you too will have a private home address and a private business, vehicle, etc. They suggest three (3) LLCs and buying your auto and house in cash. Since I have had a stalker since 1998, I have followed the common sense rules even before reading Mr. Luna. This book is fascinating! Wish he would write another one with even more tips. People should stop putting their junk on the Internet - it leaves them vulnerable. We need layers and layers of security. There are so many crazies and bad guys in the world and this book will help protect you and your loved ones.

Luna and following his suggestions is a good first step to attaining a degree of individual sovereignty
Reading How to Be Invisible by J.J. Luna and following his suggestions is a good first step to attaining a degree of individual sovereignty. There can be no one with complete individual sovereignty. Everyone lives "somewhere" and every "somewhere" has a sovereign governmental entity in control. The best we can do is to gain control over as many areas of our life as possible. If one can maintain control of (1) his life and lifestyle, and (2) his property, he will have gained a degree of individual sovereignty that most people never enjoy. For controlling our life and lifestyle, there are at least three areas which we must emphasize: (1) freedom of movement, (2) privacy and anonymity, and (3) financial independence. Although Luna touches on all three areas in his strategies, the primary tool to attain success in these areas revolves around privacy. Privacy is central to each area, and Luna provides us detailed strategies to attain this privacy. Privacy likewise is central to maintaining control over one's property. Luna recommends structures and strategies to accomplish this goal also. How to Be Invisible is not a book designed for shady characters or illegal activities. It is designed for regular citizens who wish to have more control over their life and property. It is a practical handbook which when utilized properly can give a normal law abiding individual greater control over his personal life and a degree of individual sovereignty that 98 percent of the world's citizens will never have. Luna provides guidelines to four different levels of anonymity. From level one, which gives a person minimal but significant control over his privacy to level four, which approximates a total new identity change, Luna provides options. One can utilize as many or as few of these strategies as desired. For U.S. citizens, simple matters like having their vehicle titles in an LLC, can in many cases prevent frivolous lawsuits by "ambulance chasers". Having a "ghost" address -- one in which you do not physically reside -- from which you send and receive mail also distances you from unwanted and unwarranted attention. I try to keep up with the changing internet technology and increasing lack of privacy in internet communication. But, I learned several new bits of information on internet privacy from Luna. I suggest that you will learn, as I did, something new in this area. Luna's first edition did not have this section, but in the latest edition, he has made an attempt to update many of the deficiencies of the earlier edition. These deficiencies were caused not by his failure to include them earlier, but the fact that the technology and subsequent impacts did not exist at the time of the first edition. If you have any interest in creating more privacy in your life you will find value in this book.

How to hide yourself at different levels, and WHY you'd want to!
Contrary to some misconceptions, it's not only criminals that need to hide. Not just abuse victims, either! Fradulent lawsuits, unethical private investigators, injury lawsuits, mistaken identities, other corporate mistakes, and an overbearing, big-brother, growing Marxist government are all good reasons you may want to hide your address or the ownership of some or all of your property/assets. This person states his background from the beginning (living and doing "illegal" business under Generalissimo Fransisco Franco, then becoming a P.I.) and that his book will cover things many people will agree on to things most consider extreme. But he makes good points for ALL of this when he relates stories regarding himself and also clients. You wouldn't believe the things a P.I. will do for money, and that most of them will look the other way for the right price, even if they should be suspicious of the person hiring them (abusers claiming their victim owes them money). They do many underhanded things to trick people into violating your safety and giving information they otherwise wouldn't. All this must be thought about when trying to hide ANYTHING, for ANY reason. One of the best stories is how he THANKFULLY avoided a FALSE lawsuit related to a shopping cart, after observing a cart hit a car, merely because he had a fance (e.g. "rich") car, though he did not use a shopping cart himself. Because the car was "owned" by an LLC, the person who threatened him wasn't able to find out who owned the car (if he even tried). He is also honest about the limits of concealment. For example, all you chain mailbox stores, and the post office, regularly provide a list of all clients, present and past, to the government. But with Mr Luna's expert experience, he can guide you in choosing how far you need to go, and what will be required, as well as what you can reasonably expect...WHO you can hide from, and who might find you. This is definitely a book written by an expert, in plain language for the newly paranoid. You should expect that you may not want to take all the steps suggested in this book...or maybe you will. That's the beauty of it!

A good book for all of us that are interested in our own privacy, and staying safe from the stalkers from mild to dangerous!!
I am about halfway through. I love this book. I believe this info is important , since anyone can find out where you live, your habits or just about anything else that you may not want anyone to know. Why is this important? I believer in my right to privacy. Pure and simple. My seventeen year old kid who was born in 1998, is use to privacy invasion, aggressive TSA attendants, cameras everywhere etc... I tell him that "this is not the way I grow up. You need to fight this, and so does everyone else".But until we can stop this....knowledge is power!! The Terrorists, in San Bernandino ,Ca , were quite open about their intentions. Did anyone stop them? No. Therefore, what use is this surveillance, except to spy on every citizen of the world! At least, J.J. Lunas has some good solutions to give you some privacy relief. It all adds up that our own safety and peace of mind, has come to being our own responsibility. Points were brought up in this book that made me gasp, realizing that I have already left myself open to so many different types of stalkers, from the harmless to the dangerous Thank you J.J. Luna for a very informative and easy to understand book!

*Important, no PARAMOUNT addition to your financial quiver!!!
I buy and read at least 1 book per week. My only regret in buying this book is that I did not move it further up the priority list and read it sooner. What a bombshell game changer when it comes to privacy. PRIVACY- The first suggested action from this book that I put into practice removed ALL junk mail, unwanted phone calls, and intrusive solicitations. LIABILITY- I have many teenage drivers which is a massive liability, I took the next action step in this book and removed ALL liability and exposure to my finances every time they get behind the wheel. PEACE OF MIND- Tie up all those loose ends hanging out there that sometimes keep me up at night. This is an answer to questions that have plagued me for decades. SURVEILLANCE- Stop the intrusion of strangers’ preying eyes into literally everything you do by simple following the suggestions outlined succinctly and simply in this critical read. SAVE TIME AND MONEY- Do not buy a home, car, computer, or start a business before buying and reading, and USING this book. Do it now, you will not regret it. Thank you Jack for your many decades helping to protect the privacy of the individual.

eye opening stuff for real
Picked this up on a whim and ended up reading it in basically two sittings because it's genuinely fascinating. I had no idea how easy it is for random people to find out your home address and a ton of personal info just from public records and the internet. Some of the advice gets pretty extreme but even implementing like half of it would seriously level up your privacy and peace of mind.

privacy for the little guy
Mr Luna's book is an excellent reference on keeping your private affairs private. Many people will assume that only criminals on the run have any need for privacy.......but good and innocent people go to jail or have their lives examined publicly because of a mistake by law enforcement, vengeful people who know how to work the system etc. Think about it; if a tabloid journalist walked into your house what would he see? Liquor? Pornography? Even a Bible? IF, God forbid, something like that happens to you, what you need most is TIME. Time to think. Time to get certain items out of the house. Time to contact your attorney. The steps that Luna outlines in this book will buy you that time. Using his reccomendations, you can quickly take some inexpensive steps that will give you more privacy that 98% of the American population. Movie stars and cops do not need this book; they already know this stuff. THIS book is for the little guy. You and Me. PS Luna should have included some info on how to dress and act in order to achieve more privacy. My advice is; look and act as white bread middle class as you can.
