I picked this up at the same time I got a Seek thermal camera, thinking I could turn my Samsung phone into a complete thermal camera. The end result turned out about as well as I expected; the modular nature of Samsung phone camera components opens up a wide range of options, and the Ulanzi Smartphone Vlogging Kit serves as an excellent base for them all. It's highly adjustable nature allows for several different devices to be used in a range of different positions, making it useful in an array of applications. It's sufficiently lightweight for long-term use as well, so that combination of range of use and ease of use makes it very worthwhile.

There are 3 pieces here. All very durable. I gave 4 stars, bc the price is a little high. The bottom hand held grin is great, the phone clamp part is also great, but heavy, so the weight of it can make it slip down if mounted and angled in a tilted ball clamp (for mixed purpose outside of this specific set up) all the parts are well built.

I needed this to film college audition videos and it was PERFECT! The instructor at a summer theater workshop recommended we buy one to keep our videos from shaking. I attached it to a tripod—excellent feature—but the cool thing is you can hold it by hand as well. I also purchased an inexpensive light and microphone and it made for a perfect low-budget film setup. We also use it to film slow motion captures of my daughter painting her shoe designs. It serves multiple purposes, it’s sturdy and affordable. Definitely a wise buy.

The product was extremely bulky. I was honestly afraid of breaking my IPhone. I believe if I were using a camera, maybe the item would make a little more sense.

Works great. No complaints does what it does. Handle feel sturdy and heavy for added weight to stabilize phone. Having the cold shoe mounts in a small simple package is great for on the go.

This is definitely the most durable gadget for the purpose of taking good video and pictures. It is all made of metal and it holds my cellphone confidently in place. Very functional and great design. A good buy.

This rig is straight up metal, not cheap plastic. So far I have enjoyed being able to have my Gopro and my Note 9 with and external Rode mic plugged in!
