80 LBS Pistol Crossbow with Built-in Arrow Holder

This product was exactly what i was looking for. I already had a 50lb pistol and wanted to try the 80 lb. I really like it, but the trigger pulls a little hard and the foot stirrup broke on the first use. But I can overlook that.

When the bow was taken out of the box we noticed what looked like rust spots on the pull staff. While stringing the crossbow for the first time the end cap shattered. Still trying to make it work, we wrapped the end to be able to use it until an end cap could be replaced. We succeeded in that but it could not be sighted be in and consistently missed the target. These attempts were made by avid hunters used to target and game shooting. Not related to the crossbow but, the packaging even had a few misspelled words which spoke, to us anyway, on the quality of the merchandise inside. I would not recommend this to anyone unless you just want to give money away.

the crossbow was what I expected; it was of good quality for the price we got it at. We put it together and shot a few times at some targets. It shot straight and very fast [80 pound rating] The crossbow is very accurate at 50-75 feet right out of the box after putting it together. I would recoomend this product! Unfortunately, I experienced a problem with a new fiberglass bow on a new 80 lb pistol crossbow purchased as a gift. When assembling the fiberglass bow that came with the new pistol crossbow per the instructions, the new fiberglass bow that came in the package cracked and split vertically at one of the vertical painted alignment lines. In closely examining the crack, it was almost as though the surface of the fiberglass under the paint had been scored with a sharp instument and then covered with paint. The split was such that the paint separated and fell away from both sites of the crack in the fiberglass fibers that immediately developed when the bow was initially bent to mount the bow string. It was immediately apparent that this was an obvious defect. Research at the web site http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AM32D0/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title indicated replacement bows were available for very little money and two new ones were ordered. Upon arrival, one was mounted without difficulty and all is now in good condition and I now also have a spare bow for backup. I already have an earlier version of the pistol crossbow and it is an impressive tool indeed. I have worked with fiberglass for years on various projects on my boat and other items such as arrows and bolts and I am familiar with how surface scoring can affect its reliability under stress. The new one works well and has no apparent defect. Replacement cost was negligible. The basic product is a good one. However it is apparent the bow had a defect and had to be relaced. They were cheap enough and were readily available so, appart for the inconvenience, it is an OK product

The crossbow its self is mainly metal is kinda hard to cock but if you are strong you can do it! There is a down side though the bolts suck donkey butt ok so i would recommend:36 Pistol Crossbow Arrows 50 - 80 Lb*. plastic are WAY stronger than aluminum arrows!!! I would recommend this product to anyone i know who wants a crossbow pistol! Love this Product, Just remember that the bolts SUCK so buy the 36 pack o' bolts. Other than that it is AWESOME!! *:They do bend and the bolt snaps if hits a hard target.

Bought two of them for some friends of mine and they broke when used for the first time. They were very hard to assemble as well but that was expected.

We just received this 80 pound crossbow. Assembly directions are on the back of the box and fairly easy to follow. After we got it all put togther it started falling apart. First the clip that holds the bolt in place broke off. Then the safety didn't work well at all. Finially the tip holding the string broke. This was all within the first three shots. It is a piece of junk, its cheap, but you get what you pay for

I ordered the 80lb pistol crossbow it shipped really fast but I received the 50lb one by accident they quickly shipped me the right one but when I tested them the 50lb bow was more accurate and powerful than the 80lb bow weird but true save yourself ten dollars and just buy the 50lb one definitely powerful enough to seriously injure someone or protect your home or hunt small game overall very pleased with Amazon and the product.
