After some research I found out that I could put an updated magneto / coil on my 5hp horizontal shaft Briggs. My rototiller had lost spark from sitting for a few years without being started. So after figuring out that I could put electronic ignition on it and eliminate the points and condensor it was game on! I took it all apart, pulled the flywheel, cut the wire going to the condensor and bolted on the new magneto and set the gap between the magneto and flywheel to around .010". Put it all back together and it started within the 2nd pull! In the past I bought a voltage regulator from this company for my Arctic Cat and it worked great. I thought I would buy from them again. I'm very pleased with them and this product! I recommend highly!

Bought this for 1978/1979 Till n’ Plow front tine roto tiller. Engine is 5hp Briggs and Stratton Serial Number 130202. Mounting holes lined up perfectly at about 2 and 5/16” center to center. Used air gap of.010 to match air gap of previous ignition coil. Started right up and runs perfectly. Spark plug wire was the perfect length for spark plug located on top of engine. Didn’t use extra wire that was connected to old ignition coil.

I bought this part for a Wizard rototiller. It was an exact fit, and solved my ignition problem. I wish it came with the plug boot though; I ended up getting one separately.

My California trimmer is an older one with a 5hp briggs and stranton engine and I bought this because it stopped giving a spark. I received it and installed it with a .08 gap. It started right away and has been working flawlessly so far.

coil went bad after one month after 3 times tilling my small garden description says its guaranteed for and year now I can't return it

was what i needed if it would have had the correct bolt holes
