A great product.
Works very well, really precise and easy to use. Small enough that you can easily carry it with you in your pocket. Update Nov. 2016: Have been using it for about half a year now. This is a very reliable, handy tuner. Even though it is digital, it shows an analog needle-type meter that allows for very precise tuning. It shows, for instance, when a string is going a bit higher after having been plucked (often an indicator that you need a new string). I have also seen people using it for brass and woodwinds, and it works just as well. A great little inexpensive toy that every musician should carry around.

Excellent tuner!
Great compact tuner. The Korg shipped with batteries and worked great right out of the box. Allows user to tune electric or acoustic guitars, by either 1/4" input cable or via the built in microphone. And since I own and play both, my purchase worked out great. It also has a built sound emulator, which allows you to tune by ear. So, forget buying an expensive tuner! This little sucker tunes perfect every time. Thanks Korg for designing such an inexpensive and user friendly product. And of course thanks to Amazon for selling. I love it and highly recommend it.

Korg GA1 Guitar and Bass Tuner rocks!!!
I picked the Korg GA1 Tuner for a few reasons. First, it can help tune a Guitar or Bass quickly. It's better for electric guitars but still works more than fine for acoustic guitars. It's accurate and small, works quickly and is easy to understand. There's more complex tuners, but most of them are for particular applications. While this tuner works for most general guitar and bass tuning. I've used this tuner since I started playing more than 15 years ago and do far no one has yelled at me telling me my Guitar is out of tune! So it works.

Glad to have this tuner
Glad to have this tuner. My other one stopped working on me. As a tuner should, this helps me tune my guitar by telling me what note I'm closest to, and if I'm sharp flat or perfect. It really helps me since I know what note the strings should be. I am careful not to go too high so I don't pop a string. I haven't popped a string in ages since the first time. This really helps me to make sure I'm always in tune before having a jam session, and in between to make sure I'm still in tune. It fits in my guitar case, and the batteries last a while...That's probably why my other one stopped working though. They lasted so long they sprung a leak. I'd recommend checking your batteries every once in a while to make sure they aren't leaking, because that could damage your device. Overall, it's really consistent and does what it needs to do. I have no issues with it.

Amazingly useful little thing.
I have a lot of guitar tuners in the house. I've had few handheld units, some apps on my phone, the Korg Pitch Black, some Fender thing, the Boss TU-3, and the TC Electronic Polytune. I can say that the only tuner that I prefer over this one is the Pitch Black. This little CA1 is actually faster and better than the TU-3 by a hair, and absolutely kills the Polytune in speed and accuracy. Korg really knows how to build their tuners, and this one is a truly great one. Works great for acoustic guitars as well as electric, and also does a fine job on basses, too. I don't know if it's accurate enough for a piano, but it is what it is.

Inexpensive, works very well, wish it had a power LED and/or a backlight
I record music in a homemade studio and I was getting annoyed with having to hook up my inline Boss tuner with every instrument change. I wanted something that would work with an acoustic, an electric, and a bass (plus vocals). There aren't a whole lot of options on Amazon, this seemed like the popular one. I didn't want a clip on because I haven't had the best of luck with them. This unit, in terms of accuracy, is AWESOME. It's really sensitive, you'll be perfectly in tune if you mess with your tuners long enough to satisfy this tuner. My complains with it: no backlight, so it can be difficult to see the "needle". HOWEVER, the unit has red/green LEDs that make this pretty easy enough in the dark. My other complaint is that there isn't a power LED to indicate the unit is on. I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up burning through batteries because I leave it on, can't see the needle on the screen because it can be dim unless looking right at it. Overall, I like it a lot and would recommend it. But it requires some babysitting.
