Stuff works great. I live in Manhattan and have used this probably 10 times over the past 6 months. On the subway, walking home from bars at night, late nights at work, annoying protestors crying about whatever is trendy that week....Since I can't get away with using my 2A American birthright as easily in NYC I use this instead. Some crackhead gets too close...POM!....some obnoxious drunk in my face outside a bar...POM! Protestor waving some foreign flag in my face & chanting words I don't understand..."POM!" My girl carries one also. It shuts them down instantly and gives me time to walk away while I laugh at them. It's a great alternative to actually physically hurting someone & having the corrupt NYPD arrest me for protecting myself. It's very small and easily kept in a pocket and quickly deployable.

Love this pepper spray. You push down to use then push down again to stop it. I feel much safer walking now. Clips onto my clothes.

I received my POM oc 16 days ago. I was put in a situation nearly 24 hours ago where the POM oc had to be nearly completely emptied, utilized to its fullest to stop an aggressive man. This man was clearly aggressive but being put in the situation I was in, where I must be there and being 17 and this man claiming he is 40, it wasn't really the best situation for me. Though I am a tall and fairly well built he was also tall and it limited my options with my skill set. I wanted to keep it a calm discussion but he pushed me and kept advancing resulting in a direct shot to his eyes for a solid 3/4 second. He kept advancing on me and actually made it to my car which I was planning on using as a means to escape the direct threat. However, with the window being down and not wanting to take the time to attempt to roll it back up, he did manage to throw it back in park before it started to take effect. Though, according to 2 videos of the encounter, this was less than 10 seconds from the time he is hit to the time he is nearly instantly put down from this very angry aggressive, adrelialine infused mindset, to just wanting the pain to stop. Thought 10 or so seconds is a considerable amount of time, I didn't use it as soon as I should have. Resulting in him making it to my vehicle before it took affect. Investigating officers said had I used it when he "postured", he would not have been even close to making it to my vehicle avoiding him being able to actually put his hands inside the drivers compartment. I do have to thank its design though. It stays in your pocket clipped in, and I practiced my draw so I was competent with it. I was able to draw it, and deploy it in a solid single motion without thinking about it, which is great because I think I was too stressed to be able to think about it. Great design and as long as you understand when you should use it, and how it works you should be golden. I had never sprayed it or even showed it to stop a threat or even test it. I only practiced my draw. First time getting it out and first time using it at the same time. Still crazy to think about. If anyone says it is weak or has poor range....boy are they wrong. Even after using it for maybe about 12 seconds or so (between the first spray and while in my vehicle) and cops actually had to keep it as evidence so they sprayed it and it went about 10-15 feet, it was hard to tell due to lights and stuff. But considering it wasn't close to full I think that is more than respectable and this was actually angled against the wind. Plenty of things I have learned from a real life defensive use encounter that will only advance my skills. People can judge it based on the amount it carries, the stream it sprays, and the distance it sprays. But until they actually need it and it works flawlessly like it did for me. I really just have to say their opinion doesn't matter. What matters is that assuming you know how it works, you will get a perfect result and that is, at the end of the day, what you're probably looking for. Absolutely recommend to everyone.

While I (thankfully) haven’t had to use this yet, i cannot speak on how well the pepper spray itself works. However, I think theres a lot of pros and cons to the shape and design. It’s small and compact and fits in even tiny purses, a pro. It also seems easy to use and there’s a protective flap over the button so you don’t accidentally use it. However, there’s no hole or area for a key ring, which I would have prefer so i can have it hang off my lanyard with my keys like my previous type of pepper spray could. This just has a little clip you could easily attach to your pants, but it’s a bit awkward if you want to store it in your purse.

I carried this product every day for a little over two years before I ever had to use it, and I am extremely glad I had it on me. I was outside my apartment building waiting for my fiancée to come down so we could walk to a nearby bar for food. A man approached me and apparently mistook me for someone else. He started calling me a fasc, short for fascist, and repeatedly threatened to hurt me. He said he was going to stab me, shoot me, and mess me up while reaching into his pockets. He also kept saying, “I’m Black, so you know I keep that thang on me.” I tried to stay calm and deescalate the situation by explaining that I was not the person he thought I was and that I did not want any trouble. Unfortunately, he continued making threats. I already had my hand in my pocket, ready to access the spray if I had no other choice. When he suddenly charged at me while reaching into his pocket, I drew the spray and used it from left to right across his eyes. I may have also hit his nose and mouth when I swept back. The effect was immediate. He bent over, grabbed his face, and his entire demeanor changed instantly. He went from threatening me to crying in a high pitched voice, asking, “Why did you do that, man?” He was so affected that he could barely see and nearly walked into a light pole. I called 911, and fortunately, an officer happened to drive by while I was dialing. I flagged him down and explained what happened. My neighbors also came outside and confirmed what they saw and heard, including the threats coming through their apartment window. That experience proved to me how effective this product is. The effects were immediate and lasted a long time. After hearing him crying for nearly an hour while they tried to flush his eyes, I knew this was something I would never stop carrying. I now make sure I have it with me everywhere I go, and I regularly give it to family and friends for their own protection.
