Great meditation on late-capitalist life
I downloaded this book to my Kindle, but the first time I saw the book in a store I was intrigued by the simple cover and strange title. This is an odd, confusing book of poetry that reads like museum didactics or critical theory; but eventually it falls into a sort of fragmented memoir or even novel. Lin does a great job at making daily life read as an anthropologist's experiment log, touching on reality TV, cooking, history and more. It's dense, and something to read slowly, but satisfying to spend time with.

I read it alongside facebook and found there were many perfect status updates and captions within
i read it in millennium park at one point, faces staring at me, spitting water. I read it alongside facebook and found there were many perfect status updates and captions within. I read it on my e-reader and enjoyed finding different text sizings that allowed for different views; in the book I was confined to turning its pages, statically. text functions here as a remainder, as well as a reminder of what i am distracted by.

No!
It's word salad. I'm sorry. All I can say is, "no".
