Disappointed with defective pool Filter cartridge and unhelpful seller
I recently purchased a pool filter that includes a cartridge, hoping for a hassle-free experience to keep my pool clean. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but satisfactory. As if you have a pool, you know that you have the cartridge for one to two years cleaning them and maintaining them, however this one did not even make it to its first cleaning a month after being installed. The strap that holds the pleats in place broke and the cartridge is no longer useable. I had high hopes this was an unfortunate, one-time issue, and I reached out to the seller for assistance. To my dismay, the seller response was far from helpful. Rather than offering a replacement or a refund he bluntly stated that he would do nothing about the situation. No apology, no attempt to make things right---just a curt dismissal of my concerns. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially when the product itself is clearly defective. I understand that issues happen, but the unwillingness to address them speaks volumes about the seller's priorities and business ethics. In the end, I'm left with a useless pool filter cartridge and had to spend additional funds to purchase a new one. I strongly advise against purchasing from this company if you're looking for quality products and reliable customer service. Save yourself the frustration, time and shop elsewhere.

Good and good price
I have a 18X22 inground pool and have for years used the large "filter grids" type, which finally wore out. This replacement works excellent as my replacement, and much easier to "clean the filter"!!!Price was good too, compared to the $800-1200 grid type! Easy to install. Remember that in many cases of filter placement, it behoves you to put a one way flow valve... keeps water in the filter to start pumping upon turning on!

No more DE
Very simple to install and does a great job, built well. My pool builder was going to charge me 200$, lucky for me he didn’t call back and I did it myself in under 2 hours. No more backwash and very easy to clean cartridges. LOVE IT 😎

Small drips
Installed recently following all instructions. The pressure gauge leaks with a steady drip as well as a steady drip from where the lid connects to the base. It would be nice to have access to another O ring for a better seal for the lid.

Prefect filter for my 133 gpm pump
When my expensive Hayward pump died, I got an 1.5hp Aquastrong for $180. Not checking the specs, I found out a month or so later the 133gpm flow rate of the new pump split the seams of the sand filter that was only rated for 65gpm (I think). Finding a filter to match my pump flow rate was not easy, so when I saw the specs on this one, I ordered it. Installation was a bit of a challenge as all my PVC was 1.5", so there was some work to do, but once finished, this filter cleaned the pool faster and better than the sand filter. With my old pump and filter I ran the pump at least 12 hours each day. With the new pump and this filter, I run them less than 4 hours each day. I pressure wash the cartridge once a month, and that takes some time to get the cartridge clean, but it works fine after that.

Quality materials, but locking ring leaks
First the bad:1. As others have noted, the locking ring leaks. For me, it's a drip every 10-20 seconds. I believe this will either resolve itself or I'll have to put some oil/o-ring grease on it to help stop the dripping.2. There is a little bit of slop on the intake/discharge port threads, but using some thread tape and thread sealer helps out a lot. When you buy this, look up "21063-200-000" on amazon and get yourself 3 two inch MIP to PCV unions (inlet, outlet, and drain). This will save you a lot of headache and prevent a couple of trips to a big box home improvement store.3. It would be awesome if they changed the air relief nut on top to more of a wingnut design, so it could be opened and closed by hand, rather than reaching for a screw driver or wrench to open and close it.4. Lastly, the pressure gauge seems very cheap. I'll use it until it breaks, then replace it with a better quality gauge. On to the good:1. The price: Holy smokes. The price of this is amazing and I would say it's totally worth it, even with the relatively minor gripes above.2. The packaging: Another review mentioned the product was broken in transit, but the packaging on my product was really well done and kept it secure, so my experience was a little different.3. The material quality: The material is high quality and really sturdy. We live in Arizona, so I will be painting this for some additional protection as the pool pump area is exposed to full sun for most of the day, but it's nice to have high quality material to protect rather than trying to slop 10 coats of paint/sealer on cheaper material, all while keeping your fingers crossed that the thing doesn't crack in a week.------------Unless you have the cash to burn on a name brand product, I would highly recommend this filter. The build quality is really good, the price is amazing, and it just takes a few tweaks to overcome the shortcomings listed above.
