Makes reading physically easier!
I usually like having a reading pillow of this general nature anyway but I had to replace my old one so I got this one in time for my wrist surgery. It works wonderfully and I was able to read a whole book (Atonement) with this book seat and only one functional hand. It’s lightweight so it was easy to pick up and move around when needed, even with a book in it. There’s structure to the book holding part so that won’t change its shape but the part that rests on you is soft and adjustable. When you need to turn a page you just fold down the clear bar that holds the book open. I’m very glad I got it, it’s made my life easier.

Buy This!!
This thing is perfect for a reader. I can sit a read without my hands cramping up. It’s good quality. Lightweight. I got the grey color and like it a lot but there were several good color options. Holds the book great. The holding piece is easily adjusted. It’s a little tricky when you are at the very beginning or end of the book and there’s only a couple pages on one side. This doesn’t really bother me though. I also really like the little pouch on the back with the Velcro flap. It’s the perfect size for my book light.

Pricey, but worth it! So far..
As a new mom I constantly have a baby in my arms. I needed something to prop my book up AND hold the pages open so I can tend to my little one, cook dinner, fold laundry etc. While being mostly hands free. I was so surprised there wasn't a lot of products like this out there! So I kind of took a chance on this product hoping it was going to meet my needs. I think the quality feels good. It's very veryyy light, but it's holding my 300+ page paperback book open just fine, and has stayed propped up on the arm of my couch without tipping. I could see it getting knocked over depending on your book size and stuff so I do wish it was a bit heavier. Otherwise I actually really like the page holder idea it is functional and I love that it is clear so it isn't blocking the text. I figured out how to flip the pages quickly and that isn't any issue for me at all! It's pricey, and I did find it on another website for $28 but $12 shipping so it ended up being $40 regardless lol sooo... my husband was flabbergasted when I bought it but I assured him it would be worth it so hopefully that stays true lol overall I would recommend!

Good for book lovers
Convenient and the design really works to hold the book up conveniently.

Brilliant
I’ve had this book seat for nearly 2 years and it has held up perfectly. I can’t imagine reading without it. At first I thought it would be annoying to turn the pages, but once you’re used to it, it’s a breeze. I keep the string tight and simply pull the clear piece down, turn and let it bounce back into position. This is great on treadmills or ellipticals too, if you have a flat surface on which it can sit. I love not having to hold the book, although I do sometimes because I miss it. But I end up using this every time. You can easily adjust it too, because it’s like tiny bean bag balls inside. The design is impeccable, and the capacity to hold a larger book is also great. This will make a great gift to other book lovers, too. Especially ones like me who can’t bring themselves to read a Kindle. It’s gotta be a real book, but sometimes after a good 2 hours, it’s cumbersome to hold a hefty book. 10/10 definitely a must-have!

It works pretty much as described.
I like to sit in my easy chair and read a real book. When I put this on the Book Seat, it slowly descends between my legs. It needs to be wider, or have some sort of wing extension. For now, I just prop it on another pillow.

Amazing and comfortable
I love reading books, but I always HATED holding the book open (I want to relax and I always get annoyed with the arm strain of holding a book without a support underneath) but this removes the arm strain of holding the book up and the thumb/hand strain of holding the pages open.I really only read while laying in bed with a few pillows behind my head and would put the book on my stomach and have my neck light to light the pages, but I am slightly overweight (lol) and my stomach would block the bottom of the page from the neck light so I had to always hold the book up for the last few lines, with this book pillow it holds it up just the right amount to utilize the neck light and fully illuminate the pages. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

Beyond Disappointed
If I could rate it a zero stars or perhaps even less—I certainly would. I cannot recommend this product at all unless all you're planning to use it to hold your Smartphone. As a book rest/holder it is utterly useless unless you're reading interest is reading pamphlets. Any book over 25 pages or so is much too heavy for this product to hold it upright. I doubt this book holder weighs much more than a few ounces — perhaps it's filled with styrofoam beads? The shelf you can see in the picture is a very thin piece of something like flexible plastic. The clear plastic page holder won't hold a book over 150 pages and unfortunately, most books I own are well beyond that. If the book is taller than about 7 inches, this book rest will easily topple in some direction because it doesn't weigh enough to be stable. What's even more exasperating is I was thinking at $40 it would be something of good quality construction — I was also wrong on this account. Save your money. Stack a few pillows up and use them as a book rest; it's not only a lot cheaper to use the pillows, it's a far more effective system that works better. This thing is not for serious readers.
