My review below is good for anyone that would have done the same. That being said, the company helped me out by helping me to identify which generation I had. Although similar, the plug sizes are different. They quickly shipped me the same holder for the correct generation at no charge. That's great customer service. Upon install, it was exactly as I expected and it fit like a glove. Eventually I gave up and used some C clamps I have for wondering to slowly squeeze it into the plug, but halfway through it split in two. This hides wires nicely, but if the plug doesn't fit, I can't use it reliably. Once this split in two it was finally able to accommodate the plug and I hung it that way out of reach of the children, but there is a design flaw with the plug size. Not sure what you'd do if you didn't have clamps to split it the way I did... Maybe just return it? Either way my recommendation is to skip purchasing this holder.

I tried other ones that don't have a place to put the cord. This one has a spiral that you can wrap the cord in, and it keeps it nice and neat. I have purchased 6 of these for the 15 minis in my house because you can just plug them into a wall socket, and they are nice and neat.

We have three of the older model google minis which was perfect for this kit. The Kit itself is dang near perfection itself. What can I say? The cable routing is genius, the fit is nice and snug, the unit seems sturdy and well made. If I had more device I'd buy more of these in a heartbeat. I'm not sure what more I can say. If you're on the fence about these for older minis, just get them, you won't regret it. If I had one bit of constructive criticism it's that maybe they don't quite sit flush with bigger wall plates and outlets, which is nothing.

Very skeptical if this would not only work but also if it would fit in some of the places I'd utilize a Google Speaker. Nonetheless, it was a very seamless install and has been working great for weeks now! Great product to help claim some counter space back from google speakers!

This thing works great...... in certain situations (read my review to brainstorm potential scenarios in which it will not work for your use!).When I first tried to fit the Google Mini in the mount, I thought it was too tight - it wasn't an automatic fit. Then I just applied some moderate pressure, and it locked right in. When removing the Google Mini, again, you have to apply a bit of pressure and wait for the "pop." Now, being unable to follow instructions, I didn't understand that I was supposed to wrap the cord down the middle first (drag it down and start with the small loop and work your way out) - I started wrapping it from the outside and then was confused by how to bring the cord back up to plug in.... the "ohhh" moment hit, and I redid it. The mount fits sturdily in the receptacle (probably depends on how new your electrical receptacles are) and is a great solution at hiding the cord.Alright, what I didn't take into account when reading the specifications for this product was clearance. The goal was to get the Mini off the counter and still have one available outlet. But I was using it for a GFCI receptacle in the kitchen and didn't take into account my oddly high backsplash along with my upper cabinets.... the mount was too tall for the Mini to sit up toward the cabinet and didn't protrude enough from the wall for the mini to clear the backsplash and hang out below the receptacle. I wondered if I could spin the plug.... but the notches in the plastic for cord hiding restrict the plug's orientation as shown in the direction as shown in my photo. I'm assuming the weight of the Mini is probably too much for the plug itself to support it in a horizontally mounted direction - which means that if your outlets are oriented horizontally, rather than vertically, you could potentially have some issues with support.Yes, it still fits in the outlet.... but it's covering my other outlet! If this were not a GFCI in a kitchen (or bathroom), I could play with an outlet extender. However, this product doesn't get the job done for my intended (but specific) use, so I think I will return.

Wish I had seen this years earlier. Our minis are all tucked away - no cords to trip on or entice little fingers to pull. No table or other surface needed close to set the mini on. The second plug in the outlet is still fully accessible. These are great!
