GACE Middle Grades Mathematics 013 Teacher Certification Test Prep Study Guide (XAMonline Teacher Certification Study Guides)

I was very surprised. This book was very helpful for studying for the Middle Grades Mathematics GACE. It was organized very well and went through all of the major concepts. The practice tests were also very helpful as the answer key gave explanations as well as correct answers. The only complaint I have about the book is that it sometimes skipped the "simpler" parts of a problem which was confusing, but I was usually able to figure it out. Another drawback is that the book did not contain any practice or review for the generated response questions on the GACE, so I had to use the ones on the GACE website. These, however, were very similar to the problems on the test, so I don't think their absence in the book is a very big deal. Overall this was a very helpful book that I would recommend to any professional or student.

I got this book useful but only the problem was they wrote everything with the same size and no highlights are there.

The book provides a great overview and is very well organized. There are a few typos and mistakes. There are some topics that should be covered in more detail and they should provide some summary sheets or "crib notes" to help as a study aid. Overall, I highly recommend the book.

This book really helped me prepare for the test. There were a few mistakes but did not hinder my studying for the test. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone looking to pass the middle grades mathematics test.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK... OR ANY OTHER XAMonline.com book.There is more wrong than right with this book. Apparently XAM can not be bothered to do any kinda of proof reading or editing. You would think 8 years would be more than enough time to at least catch some over their careless errors and produced a revised copy.I own this book and the Middle Grades Science book, and both of them are of the same deplorable quality. Both of them raise more questions than they answer, and i have filled both books with posted notes pointing out where they made careless mistakes.If you do buy this book, do not use it as your only source of study material. In fact you maybe better off getting the study guide of the GACE website and relying on Wikipedia, because in comparison to these books, Wikipedia is a much more reliable source.The only reason I was able to so well on the GACE exam was because I referenced my ETS GRE book.
