I have only used this motor and esc twice but it has great performance!. I put this combo into my old rc10 truck 1:10 scale, I had to turn the power down.

I bought this as a cheap first motor for my Losi SCT 3.0. I expected to upgrade it quickly and just wanted to get the car finished. The performance has been better than I expected and it has held up well despite my absolutely thrashing it with multiple 3S packs through it without a break. If it fails at any point I’ll be satisfied with the value I got out of it. I still plan to upgrade when it eventually fails, but it doesn’t feel all that necessary for the casual bashing that I do.

ESC isn't the best but the motor is definitely worth it. It can handle 4s batteries without a problem. Esc fan stopped working after first couple of uses and then is totally went out after about 10 batteries. Motor is great.

I ordered two of these combos to update two old traxxas rustler trucks I bought in 1998. Put them with a 3s 5200 LiPo pack and a 19/86 gear combo. These things are ridiculous. Nearly uncontrollable power and speed. Crazy torque off the line and can’t get to top speed without the front end wanting to lift off. Only made one ten minute run with it due to time constraints but it didn’t heat up at all. Wheelie machines now. The ESC paired easily with the new radio/receiver combo. This was my first foray into a brushless setup and they really should clearly identify which wires on the motor plug into which wires on the ESC. The wires on the motor are color coded, but the wires from the ESC are all black so that is no help. On the First attempt, the motor was running in reverse. I switched two wires and got it to go forward, but it was then getting full power in reverse and half power in forward. I put the wires back to the original configuration and then used the radio to reverse the direction and got full power in forward. Would be nice if the instructions clearly marked which wires go where to prevent this kind of issue.

Awesome purchase and great upgrade for my old Kyosho Buggy. Pretty quick for the price . Very happy with the purchase.

ESC turns on fan and sends voltage to receiver. But that’s all it does. Will not send power to motor. Not sure if motor is dead or ESC is garbage, or both. Motor resistance between poles was within specs, so suspect ESC is no good.

Soooooo I put this setup on my redcat thunder drift with some belted touring car tires and was beating my boss from work in his infraction mega that he ordered the spectrum esc and motor that supports I think 4s and he was running his 3s like I was and I spanked it! Can't believe I paid a fraction of what he did and still got in front of that infraction

For the price it’s a decent value. Don’t expect name brand quality. There is some cogging, the esc is under powered and it heats up pretty fast with a 3s battery. 2s causes cogging and it’s pretty slow. It’s better than a stock brushed combo but if you’re looking for real speed that properly can handle a 3s battery you’re going to spend at least another $50+ on top of this price. However, for the average badger just looking for an upgrade for $60 it gets the job done.

Very good cheeper side of motor conversions I would definitely recommend although it does make your rc car quite uncontrollable with the gearing it’s on as the speed is crazy
