This mail slot is exactly as pictured and is just gorgeous! It's quite heavy and 110% looks like it came off a 100 yr old door. Highly recommend!

Great quality just needs longer screws!

This casting is pure garbage. No hardware came with it (even though listing says it is included). Buying bolts won't help when the threaded castings aren't even CLOSE to perpendicular to the front plate. Flap is VERY tight and would NEVER close......especially on this terrible design that opens to the......inside of the door?!?!?! Back plate is cracked. Door must be at LEAST three inches thick for this to even have a CHANCE of working. "Fits standard letters" is an absolute joke. It will barely fit a postcard. This is an AWFUL design and needs to be revised. Requested a refund. An exchange would be pointless even if it were a perfect casting.......because it's a terrible design.

This is a hefty letter slot. I purchased this for a short film. Didn't need to function properly so I can't speak about it from a practical utility standpoint but it looks great, has great weight and looks really nice. If I need an actual mail slot I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this one.

The swinging door seems really well made, and quite pretty in real life.

Exactly as advertised. Very happy with it.Installation requires cutting the threaded bolts that come with it to the depth of your door.
