Malabar pepper
pepper is pepper right? Wrong, there are so many different flavors and heat ranges of black pepper it’s not even funny, and if it’s too hot, the family won’t eat it and you’ve just wasted your money. Malabar pepper, has a bright flavor but not too hot on the tongue, adds just the right amount of flavor without the heat, i prefer a fine to medium grind texture, and this fits the bill.

Should have read the 1 star reviews!
Do NOT BUY! When I first opened the package I noticed the plastic container was dented in several places. It didn’t matter much to me until I opened it and noticed the seal on the jar was ripped off/ missing! Plus, it looked like it was missing about a 1/4 of the powder. Feels unsafe to try and Can’t return so I will have to throw away money.

A mild consistant flavored seed.
I had not made brown mustard before, so the first mustard I made was a light white wine mustard that turned out very nice. I am sure I will try other brown mustard recipes in the future.
