Carburetor fit perfectly, gaskets are correct and it runs like new .

This carb was for a Subaru SP-170 6.0HP gas motor on an Ariens 27 ton log splitter. I read a lot of reviews about the replacement carburetor with a lot of talk about the gaskets not fitting properly. With some reservation I decided to purchase this one and I am very happy I did. All three gaskets fit, but did require a little ID trimming on two of them. I was quite surprised to have the motor start up on the second pull, only because I hadn’t turned the kill switch to “on” for the first pull.Ok, here is me admitting to something I wish wasn’t needed, but this will hopefully help someone else ... it bothered me that many of these carbs showed a picture that matched my old one perfectly, but also included pictures of what looked like a completely different carb. I felt like I was taking a big gamble making this purchase because both pictures were shown for this carb. I know sometimes on Amazon the pics are “representative”, not always exact. And you all know the carb must be a perfect match to the original. Well here is the embarrassing part, when I received the carb I realized the other pic is, wait for it, the other side of the carb! Ok, I said it, we’re not going to talk about this again.

Carb fits great and is just like what was removed. The gaskets are not like the original but can be made to work.

It did not come with the 3 gaskets that are shown in the picture.

This carb kit came with all of the correct gaskets, a fuel filter, fuel line and clamps. Bolted on perfectly and started on the first pull!
