It basically works, seems well made but often I would sometimes find that it would rotate 180 and my phone would be upside down and I would have to right it. Also as I was driving it would tend to back out of the lighter plug and I would often have to push it back in. I imagine most of these lighter plug mounts suffer from the same ill, as they rely on the structure of the car’s plug. Your car plugs were engineered to have a lightweight charging plug or cigarette lighter placed into them, not some long car phone mount with a heavy cell phone on the end of it that acts as a pendulum. I did like the way it kept my phone from blocking my air vent like my previous vent type mount did, but the shortcomings of this is not worth it to me and I am returning it. Think I will be upping my game and look at some of the vehicle specific mounts that have dash frame tie-ins specific to your car. These are much more expensive than these generic units but probably worth it in terms of reduced aggravation.

On the part of the mount that inserts into the lighter opening, there is a rubber washer that is supposed to keep the mount from rotating in the lighter opening. The washer has some raised features on it that are supposed to "lock" the mount in place. Unfortunately, that rubber washer is made of very soft rubber and after only 150 miles, the inside of the lighter housing had cut the washer. Without this washer intact, the mount wants to rotate in the lighter opening. Also, the pieces of the washer are now inside the lighter housing.

I drive over very rough, bumpy roads and this cell phone holder holds my phone and keeps in the right position. The phone doesn't move around much. After nearly 2 months of use, the power port that holds it seems fine and it still has a tight grip in the port.It's not the most attractive phone holder, but it does the job well.

The mount did not work for me as the plug rotates too easily in my truck’s 12 Volt receptacle. This is especially so with my small cellphone in the holder. The mount was returned for a refund.

Didn't work for my car. The distance between the shifter and the plug wasn't large enough. Occasionally affected shifter getting into park.

This product was a good idea but using cigarette lighter plug as a base mount application failed. Most accessories plugs in vehicles are not deep enough to facilitate a secure mount. It wobbles and falls over . I have a small Samsung smart phone . It is not as heavy as the larger phones. Product is well made and sturdy. But Bad idea in my opinion.Retired Marketing Exec.

This thing sucks any weight of a new modern phone will not hold it and it'll come down. Don't even waste your time it won't hold anything up but a feather

This was specifically bought because I’m an Uber driver. And it’s kind of difficult for me to be able to hold the phone. So this is perfect
