Fixed loud howling noise from the air intake, smooth idle and no more stalled engine.
Excellent! Had a very annoying and loud howling noise from the air intake in my Ford Expedition 2000, and occasionally the engine stalled on a red light. Googling both issues indicates the IAC valve as one possible cause, so I gave it a try. This immediately fixed the noise, and no more stalled engine. Idling is much smoother, unlike before. Very easy to change, perfect fit. I also replaced the gasket (different item). Before buying this item, I tried to (carbon) clean and lubricate the old valve - to no avail.

Do not get the Auto Zone or Advance Auto brand ...
Do not get the Auto Zone or Advance Auto brand replacements. The original has round holes in the bottom, the knockoffs have square holes in the bottom. This causes the air intake assembly to howl.....Fixed with this one instantly.....

Idle Air Control
Works perfect. Replaced my failing unit at about half the price of any local store. Does not come with a gasket, but I cut my own
