Works well, output adjusts well, and very quiet. Seems like good quality.
This thing really puts out a good blast when on full. I usually turn it down after a few minutes. Not made for a whole house, but does well for a room at a time, or a section of a big room.Easy to use, easy to fill.Compact and looks nice. Some have bigger tanks but this one is good enough for 5 to 10 hours depending on how high you adjust the output. We usually only run it for 2 or 3.Very satisfied !

THREE Years and still running!
JAN 2015: Works perfectly! We've set ours at about half for several nights, all night long and the tank was still 1/4 to 1/2 full. We ran it on full blast for 7 hours at one point, and there was still at least 1/4 tank left. It makes a quiet hum, but doesn't affect your sleep. It's a nice compact size, but not tiny. You can see the steam that comes out- we like that. If you set it on a carpet floor, the carpet will be slightly damp there after awhile. Not damaging, but even setting it on a stool corrects that if it bothers you. And make sure it's not pointed directly at something, as that object will end up quite damp. For $27 and no filters, ya can't beat it!UPDATE JANUARY 2017:2 years and still going! I'm amazed. After about a year, it would make this awful noise when you first turned it on and sometimes it wouldn't come on. I thought it was broken, but we just left it on and in a minute or two it kicked on. The awful noise would disappear after about 20 seconds. It still does that sometimes. We do not clean it either- we use it all winter, store it all summer-- no filters to deal with. I am really impressed with this little guy!UPDATE JANUARY 2018:Still going strong! Love this little guy. Just yesterday soaked it in white vinegar for the day, rinsed and scrubbed the hard water deposits (I've done this maybe 3 times total in the last 3 years) It hasn't made the loud noise for about 9 months - no filter, no problem - absolutely love it!

Not silent but works
It's not silent at allYou constantly hear water dropsDelivers a good amount of cool must though.I'll say for me, the drop sounds doesn't bother me. It kind of sounds like a little rain that is starting to hit a window. It'll be easy enough to clean and holds a decent amount of water to last through the night.

Quiet, efficient, perfect size
Yet another great quiet product from Honeywell! I love their quiet tower fans, and now I love this little humidifier. It's small enough to fit on a shelf in my bedroom, it puts out a very fine cool mist that doesn't damage the wall or other surfaces, it's easy to fill and clean, has a wide range of settings, and really does the job, all for a reasonable price. And did I mention, it's QUIET? (I'm highly sensitive to electrical noise, so this is a top priority for me.) In a 10x12 room, it took less than a couple of hours to go from 30% humidity to a much more comfortable 55-60%. No more dry sinuses, and no more static shocks to my cats, so win-win. It also shuts off automatically when it's empty, and there's a spot for putting essential oils (although it is NOT a diffuser).I highly recommend this humidifier for anyone who has a small space with low humidity issues.

Last one worked for 8 years! Wish products used in bedroom didn't have lights though
I enjoyed this same model for the past 8 years of winter seasons (I think I got my money's worth!) and as long as I used the drop in humidifier tank cleaning cartridge and performed maintenance (even much less often than they recommend) it worked exceptionally well until it suddenly didn't. As proof for how well it works, for the four days waiting for my replacement I got a bloody nose and super dry skin.To other reviews that downgrade due to a white dust, it's due to the minerals in your water. You could use distilled water, but if you have hard water and use tap the minerals have to go somewhere. We do have hard water, but apparently not sufficient to produce dust, so you may not either.I just wish manufacturers of products often used in bedrooms would stop with their light pollution. Just as I did with my last model, I put duct tape over the knob to block it.Overall I'm super happy with the product. I hope they make them with the same quality as 8 years ago!
